Mr. Du asked, "Is there anything else you'd like to buy?"
Yan Shujin and Yan Qiyu shook their heads. Actually, before they came out, they wanted to buy a lot of things, but when they actually came out, they found that they didn't lack anything. In fact, the things at home looked better, and neither of them were interested in things like antiques and calligraphy.
Mr. Du stood up and said, "Come on, let me take you to eat."
Although Yan Shujin and Yan Qiyu had eaten quite a few snacks, they had only slightly filled their stomachs and were now hungry. Following behind Mr. Du, they asked, "What shall we eat?"
Mr. Du asked, "What would you like to eat?"
Yan Qiyu likes to eat meat, but is not picky about food: "Anything is fine."
Mr. Du said, "I'll take you to eat noodles and wontons."
Yan Shujin and Yan Qiyu agreed.
Mr. Du did not take them to a restaurant, but to a small eatery in an alley. Although the eatery was small, it was very clean and crowded. The group waited for a while before they could get a seat.
After the siblings finished eating, the restaurant became much less crowded, and Mr. Du ordered another serving of beef to eat slowly.
Yan Shujin watched Mr. Du eat his beef half-heartedly, frowned slightly, glanced at the people in the restaurant, and asked, "Are you waiting for someone, sir?"
Mr. Du did not answer until he saw a middle-aged man enter, at which point he stood up and called out, "Brother Li."
The middle-aged man paused for a moment, looked at Mr. Du, and then walked over without saying a word.
Mr. Du smiled and said, "Please sit down."
The middle-aged man sat down in the empty seat.
Mr. Du asked directly, "Brother Li, what's your decision?"
The middle-aged man remained silent.
Mr. Du smiled, appearing gentle and refined. However, Yan Shujin felt that Mr. Du was different from the usual Mr. Du. Even though he was smiling, there was an indescribable feeling in him.
"Even if you don't think of yourself, Brother Li, you should at least think of your sick wife," Mr. Du said gently. "Do you really expect your daughter to go out in public and be harassed by others?"
Upon hearing this, the middle-aged man's expression changed, and he looked at Mr. Du.
Mr. Du took out a box, placed it on the table, and pushed it to the middle-aged man: "This ginseng isn't very good, but Brother Li, you can use it first."

Mr. Du said, "Brother Li, why don't you do as I do and bring your family to live in my mansion first, and become a tutor for the two children?"
The middle-aged man looked at Yan Shujin and Yan Qiyu, then at Mr. Du.
Mr. Du said sternly, "You have not only offended those powerful families of the previous dynasty, but you are also unwilling... In a while, when... Yan Qiyu asked, "Then why did he agree this time?"
Mr. Du looked at Yan Shujin and said, "Sister Bao is truly a lucky star. You told me that someone was harassing a girl in the street, and now Han Dalang's son is causing trouble."
"Did you sense that the young lady's identity was unusual, and that's why you investigated and learned about Mr. Li's family?" Yan Shujin quickly understood: "So, you brought us out today to see if you could run into her?"
