Yan Chao laughed, but in his heart he felt that Lu Jiajin and his ilk were not as clear-headed as a child. Or perhaps they were just heartless.

Liu Qin handed the cushion to her daughter, then changed her position and said, "Come on, lean against Mom and sleep."
Yan Shujin smiled and leaned closer to her mother, but only gently rested against her, whispering, "Mom, don't worry, I'll take care of you until my little brother grows up."
Upon hearing this, Liu Qin felt a pang of bitterness and sorrow in her heart. Her eyes were red and her voice was choked with emotion: "It's because Mother is so useless."
“No.” Yan Shujin placed her hand in her mother’s hand: “Mother, it will get better.”
Liu Qin has always been a woman who is gentle on the outside but strong on the inside. Otherwise, she wouldn't have been able to grit her teeth and take care of her children and mother-in-law after her husband left. But after arriving in the capital, she couldn't do anything, and she couldn't even show the slightest resentment.
Yan Shujin looked at her sleeping younger brother and smiled, "It'll be fine when he grows up."
Liu Qin closed her eyes, but couldn't help but shed tears.
