Chapter 12 Heading to Kyoto

Time flies, and winter vacation is here in the blink of an eye.

Because the three little masters have the same holiday time, the year can only come one at a time.

She sent Su Ke, the youngest in line, over first.

Huang Qi ultimately decided to go to Kyoto with Liu Nian and the others, so Liu Nian booked two plane tickets, while Huang Qi made an excuse that she needed to settle her housing situation and did not go with them.

"When you arrive at the airport, my agent will pick you up outside and take you to the house there."

On the way to the airport, Liu Nian personally drove them there.

Su Ke looked a little unhappy, and Liu Nian glanced at him in the rearview mirror.

"Xiao Ke, I'll go over there once I've sorted out the housing issue here. It should only take about two days. Don't be upset!"

Su Ke gave a muffled "hmm," still not very happy.

Knowing that his emotions were probably fluctuating greatly, Liu Nian had no choice but to explain to Huang Qi.

"The houses over there have already been found. My agent will take you to the airport."

Huang Qi gently patted Su Ke's small shoulder and said to Liu Nian, "Miss Liu Nian, don't worry, I will take good care of Xiao Ke."

Knowing that she would take good care of Su Ke, Liu Nian didn't say anything more.

Upon arriving at the airport, Liu Nian put down their suitcases. She then packed all of Su Ke's clothes and sent them by express delivery. All that was left was a small suitcase.

Huang Qi only brought clothes, so he didn't have much luggage.

She picked up the little guy and kissed his cheek: "Is Xiao Ke still angry?"

Su Ke was no longer angry at her actions. He cupped Liu Nian's face in his hands and kissed her on both cheeks: "Remember to come see me when you're done with your work, sister!"

He was afraid that once Liu Nian sent him and Aunt Huang to Kyoto, he would abandon them.

Liu Nian was busy with work, and he thought she would be able to take him out for a few days during the winter break. But to his surprise, as soon as his vacation started, Liu Nian took him straight to Kyoto.

Liu Nian thought he was probably worried about feeling uneasy in an unfamiliar place, so she assured him to put the little guy at ease.

"Once my sister finishes what she needs to do here, she will definitely rush back to Kyoto to see you."

Only after receiving Liu Nian's affirmation did Su Ke nod in satisfaction.

Liu Nian escorted them to the security checkpoint, gave them a few more instructions, and only left the airport after watching the two figures, one big and one small, disappear through security.

The person I arranged to view the apartment was coming at noon today, so Liu Nian waited at home while also calling Jiang Tao to remind him to pick them up on time.

After Jiang Tao reviewed the flight information and Su Ke's photo that Liu Nian had sent him, and assured him that he would arrive at the airport early to pick her up, Liu Nian felt relieved.

She trusted Jiang Tao's ability to act, which put her at ease and saved her a lot of trouble.

Later, she messaged the other two aunts, asking them to pack their bags so she could go over in the afternoon.

Sister Xu and Aunt Chen replied quickly, saying they were already tidying up.

After waiting for two hours, the house viewing party finally arrived. Liu Nian wrapped herself up tightly before opening the door. Seeing that it was two young men, she thought for a moment and decided to let them come in and take a look at the house first.

This duplex apartment has four bedrooms and one living room, so the space is quite large.

There are four rooms: a large master bedroom for Liu Nian, a fairly large second bedroom for Su Ke, a guest room for the aunt, and another room for Liu Nian as a study.

Since most of the luggage had already been moved out, the house now looked empty except for the furniture; the rooms were quite spacious.

Liu Nian didn't sell the bed and other items.

So the two young men looked at it for about ten minutes before they started talking to Liu Nian about the price.

"Are you two satisfied with this house?" Liu Nian poured each of them a glass of water.

The three people were sitting in the living room.

The two men's eyes met, and one of them spoke.

"We think this house is nice, and the two of us are planning to rent it. How about we negotiate the price?"

Liu Nian observed the two carefully for a while. They were both dressed neatly and seemed to be college students.

After thinking for a moment, Liu Nian asked them some basic questions: "Isn't it a bit redundant for the two of you to rent this house?" She paused, afraid that the other party might misunderstand, and then explained: "Don't overthink it. I just see that there are only two of you, and this house is a bit big. It seems that the two of you don't need such a big house."

One of the boys spoke up: "To be honest, sister, we are college students, currently working on our own project. We also have two partners, but they went to look at houses elsewhere."

"We just told them about this house. They let the two of us take a look first, and if it's suitable, we'll rent it. They'll be here soon."

Liu Nian nodded to indicate that she understood. "How long do you plan to rent it? Let's make it clear first. You've seen this house; it's basically brand new, with no signs of wear and tear."

“There is air conditioning in every room and water heater in every bathroom. I hope you will take good care of this house after you rent it.”

The two boys nodded at the same time: "They definitely will."

After saying that, she asked a little shyly, "We're planning to rent it for a year first, is that okay?"

Liu Nian thought it was acceptable, so he nodded: "Considering that you are still students, I will ask for a deposit of 10,000 yuan, and only charge 6,000 yuan per month for rent, including water and electricity. Can you accept that?"

She couldn't accept it, but there was nothing she could do. The house was in a great location, in the city center, and a commercial street was just a few kilometers away. Her house was also large, fully furnished, and well-lit. She didn't think the rent she charged them was much.

The two boys exchanged a glance, and one of them spoke up: "Sure, but could we wait for our other two friends to come and take a look first?"
