Chapter 24 Drinking Tea at the Academic Affairs Office

To their surprise, Su Ke actually knew two big shots on campus. Thinking of this, the group couldn't help but swallow hard, looking at Feng Guiyu in disbelief and asking, "Is he your brother?"

"Or is he your brother?" Feng Guiyu retorted, glancing at them and clicking his tongue in disdain. "Looking like you two, how could you possibly be related to him? Nobody would believe it if you told them, let alone that you have absolutely no connection."

Su Ke twitched his lips, somewhat speechless.

Gu Minhang also felt that Feng Guiyu was talking too much.

"Come with me to the academic affairs office." He said, then looked at Su Ke and asked, "Didn't you go to eat?"

Su Ke hummed in agreement.

Gu Minhang glanced at Feng Guiyu and said, "Let Feng Guiyu take you to eat. I'll take care of the rest."

Su Ke nodded: "Thank you, brother."

Gu Minhang smiled and said, "Go ahead."

Feng Guiyu rolled his eyes and led Su Ke and the other person to the cafeteria.

Gu Minhang glanced at the remaining boys and said, "Let's go! Let's go to the academic affairs office for tea."

He then left ahead of them.

The boys exchanged glances, then helped the injured boy and followed behind him.

They were all secretly regretting their actions. They knew that if they weren't fired, things wouldn't be much better, and now they wouldn't even be able to make ends meet.

In the cafeteria, Feng Guiyu ordered two meals, placing one in front of Su Ke, who then sat opposite him.

"Thank you, brother," Su Ke said obediently, enjoying his service.

Feng Guiyu wasn't buying it: "30 yuan, not a penny less."

Su Ke smiled: "Okay, I'll give it to you in a bit."

The two ate their meal quietly, and soon Gu Minhang arrived, making it a three-person table.

The three men, each with their own distinctly handsome features, caused quite a stir. Every girl eating in the cafeteria couldn't help but steal glances at them, and even the boys were no exception. However, the three remained unfazed and continued eating.

"Come with me to Taekwondo after school," Gu Minhang suddenly said.

Su Ke was taken aback, realizing that he wanted him to learn self-defense. He felt a warmth in his heart, a warmth that came from someone else, a person with no blood relation to him, besides his sister.

"Okay." Actually, he wasn't bad at it; he had studied Taekwondo for a few years. It was just that there were a lot of boys today, and it would be difficult for him to fight alone, which would eventually result in both of them getting hurt.

Unexpectedly, they showed up before anything even started.

Feng Guiyu rolled her eyes at Gu Minhang and said, "Don't let him get hurt. That woman will definitely cry if she finds out."

Gu Minhang: ...

Su Ke smiled and said in a teasy tone, "Indeed, my sister cares about me the most."

Feng Guiyu: "..." He was filled with hatred.

Gu Minhang: "..."

Liu Nian, who was far away overseas, knew nothing about any of this.

At school, the news that Su Ke was notified to go to the academic affairs office surprised all his classmates.

It happened to be during PE class. After running, he saw Su Ke heading towards the teachers' building alone, and without thinking, he followed her.

He knew it must have been those boys who notified their families to come and demand an explanation.

Su Ke, being all alone, is bound to suffer injustice.

That woman said that as the older brother, it's his duty to protect his younger brother, and since they share the same background, they should take care of each other.

If Su Ke were to suffer any injustice at school, he might cry and beg Liu Nian for her sympathy, which he absolutely would not allow and would stop.

Thinking this, he quickened his pace.

No sooner had Su Ke entered the office than Feng Guiyu followed him in.

Several middle-aged people were already sitting in the office, along with the students who had bullied Su Ke.

When the two of them came in, the boys were a little nervous, but when they remembered that their fathers were here, they didn't have to be afraid and immediately straightened their backs.

The director of the academic affairs office was somewhat surprised to see Feng Guiyu enter, but he didn't say anything. Once everyone was present, he coughed and spoke.

"Su Ke, I heard from them that you laid a hand on them today? And it happened on school grounds! Don't you respect the school rules?" Su Ke was a student valued by all the teachers in the school, so he wasn't too harsh when he spoke to him.

Su Ke looked at the middle-aged men without fear and smiled coldly: "What else did they say?"

"You little brat, you dare lay a hand on my son? You don't know how you're going to die, do you?" A beer-bellied man spoke arrogantly, pointing rudely at Su Ke. "If you want to stay in this school, come up with 500,000 yuan to compensate for my son's medical expenses. If you can't, get out of here immediately."

The director of the academic affairs office didn't want to make a big fuss. Su Ke was a talented student valued by the school, but he also knew that Su Ke's family background wasn't good, and he couldn't come up with 500,000 yuan. This put him in a difficult position.

"You want 500,000?" Before Su Ke could speak, Feng Guiyu, who was standing behind him, spoke first.

"Yes," the beer-bellied man replied.

Feng Guiyu nodded, then looked at the other men and asked, "How many do you want?"

The men looked at each other. Actually, their son hadn't been seriously injured. They had come today just to get an explanation and some compensation.

But since they asked, they're not stupid.

"He beat my son so badly that he knocked out his teeth and injured his head. I'm asking for 600,000 yuan in compensation. Is that too much to ask?"

"I want 300,000 yuan, plus making him kneel down and apologize to my son."

"Me too..."

Then each of the men began demanding compensation.

Feng Guiyu nodded. "Cash or bank transfer?"

"It's a bank transfer, of course."
