Su Ke chuckled: "Okay."
Don't be fooled by Liu Nian's usual aloof demeanor; she's actually a bit sly inside.
The two went out to eat, and by sheer coincidence, they ran into Ningxia at the restaurant. She was accompanied by a man, and even more coincidentally, this man turned out to be Dong Fenglin.
At the same time the two saw them, the other side also saw them.
Ningxia's face immediately changed, turning deathly pale.

Ningxia is now in a dilemma, unsure whether to nod or shake its head.
What could she say? She was just helping her roommate pay off her debts. Did she have any grudge against Liu Nian? It didn't seem so.
She just liked Su Ke, but Su Ke liked Liu Nian, which she couldn't stand, so she often jumped around in front of Liu Nian and Su Ke. Actually, if it weren't for Liu Nian, Su Ke wouldn't even know her name.

Dong Fenglin narrowed his eyes and sized up Ningxia: "You like that pretty boy?"

Ningxia was startled, staring at him with wide eyes, speechless with surprise.
“Mr. Dong…” She hadn’t expected that Dong Fenglin would like Liu Nian.
Thinking of this, Ningxia felt a strange sense of anticipation.
"Stop with your thoughts, and don't covet what doesn't belong to you." After saying that, Dong Fenglin left without even looking at her.
Ningxia stood stiffly, watching the direction he left in, her lips pressed together in silence.

Su Ke, who hadn't seen Li Yue for almost a month since he rejected her, took some time during his vacation to go home and visit his grandmother. Unexpectedly, he ran into Li Yue, who was also visiting his grandmother, at her house.
Su Ke stood in the yard carrying fruits and vegetables, looking coldly at Li Yue, who was chatting with the old man.
The grandmother was overjoyed to see her grandson arrive.
"Xiao Ke, what brings you back? Look who's here." She smiled at Li Yue, "Little girl, do you still remember Xiao Ke?"
Su Ke's expression softens considerably when facing his grandmother.
Su Ke didn't answer her grandmother's question. "Grandma, it's time to eat. I'll go cook." Without waiting for their reaction, she quickly picked up her things and went into the house.
Li Yue watched his retreating figure, her eyes reddening with sadness.
"Grandma, do you think Su Ke dislikes me?"
When Grandma saw that the little girl was about to cry, she immediately comforted her.
"Oh dear, why are you crying, girl! That's just how my grandson is. Maybe he hasn't seen you in a long time. If he knew who you were, he would treat you well. How could he dislike you?"
Li Yue pursed her lips, her eyes red-rimmed, looking utterly aggrieved, and remained silent.
During the meal, Grandma brought up Li Yue again.
"Xiao Ke, do you still remember the Li family's daughter? Her name is Li Yue, and you two grew up together."
