Su Ke nodded and left before her.
Liu Nian followed behind. Su Ke walked at a leisurely pace, but Liu Nian couldn't keep up. She also had an injury on her leg. Although it wasn't serious, walking aggravated the wound and it hurt quite a bit.
Seeing that the two had grown further apart, Liu Nian helplessly called out to him, "Su Ke."
Su Ke, who was walking ahead, turned around in confusion and saw that Liu Nian was quite far away from him. He frowned and strode forward.
A cold tone asked, "Does your foot hurt?"
Liu Nian nodded: "It hurts a little, don't walk so fast."
Su Ke thought for a moment and asked her, "Do you want me to carry you?"
Liu Nian's eyes lit up. This was his suggestion, and she didn't want to waste an opportunity to deepen their relationship, so she nodded and said, "Thank you for your help."
Seeing her nod, Su Ke bent down and turned his back to her: "Come on up!"
Liu Nian didn't stand on ceremony and immediately lay down on top of her: "I might be a little heavy."
Su Ke carried her on his back without any effort.
With long strides, he said in a cool and indifferent tone, "Not heavy."
After carrying her out of the hospital, Su Ke asked her where she was going.
Liu Nian lay on his back, deliberately bringing her cheek close to his ear, her warm breath brushing against his sensitive ear as she spoke: "Take me home first."
Su Ke felt his ears were very hot, and he could imagine that they must be very red.
He awkwardly turned his face to the side and coughed lightly: "Address."
Just then, he saw a taxi drive by and waved it with one hand.
The taxi stopped in front of them. Su Ke put Liu Nian down, then picked her up and put her in the car before getting in himself.
Liu Nian was a little startled when she was picked up; the sudden movement slowed her reaction by half a beat.
"Where are you two going?" the taxi driver asked.
After realizing what was happening, Liu Nian gave a string of addresses.
The driver then started the car.
The driver chatted with them the whole way, constantly praising them as a handsome couple.
The passing years bestowed a smile, but Su Ke seemed somewhat unnatural, her face flushed, though she didn't appear to dislike it, and was even a little happy.
Su Ke had never been in a relationship before, so he didn't know how he felt. He thought he would ask one of his more experienced friends for advice.
The two returned to Liu Nian's apartment. Because of her leg injury, Liu Nian told Su Ke to just get whatever she wanted from the refrigerator.
Su Ke didn't stand on ceremony; he was thirsty anyway.
When I opened the refrigerator, I found that apart from drinks and some fruit, there were no vegetables at all.
He figured that Liu Nian probably didn't know how to cook, so there probably wouldn't be any food in the refrigerator.
He grabbed a bottle of water and went back to the sofa. He opened it, drank the water, and the series of actions, with his chin slightly tilted back as he drank, made his Adam's apple bob up and down in a very sexy way.
Liu Nian watched him drink water from the side, secretly marveling at how handsome and sexy the younger men these days were!
Su Ke didn't plan to stay long. After resting for a few minutes, he wanted to leave.
Liu Nian knew what he was thinking, and after considering it, she didn't keep him any longer.
Before he left, Liu Nian asked for his contact information and successfully added him as a friend.
"The clothes you bought me today fit perfectly, and I'm sorry to have troubled you. I'll transfer the money to you later."
Su Ke replied indifferently, "Hmm."
His family isn't very wealthy, and the clothes he bought for Liu Nian today cost him half a month's worth of part-time earnings.
Everyone's money doesn't grow on trees. He hasn't officially entered the workforce yet, and the part-time jobs he's done before haven't earned much, just enough for his living expenses, with some left over. He hadn't originally intended for her to pay, but since she herself had said so, why should he pretend to be so high and mighty? He had no obligation to spend money on her anyway!
As soon as Su Ke arrived at his rented apartment, he received a money transfer from Liu Nian.
He coldly accepted the payment, then took his clothes and went to take a shower.
As he approached the bathroom door, about to open it, the person inside opened it first—it was Xiao Yang.
As soon as Xiao Yang saw him, he asked with some confusion, "Where did you go last night? You didn't answer my calls!"
Last night, a few of us made plans to have hot pot together. All three of them arrived, but Su Ke was late and didn't answer his phone. There was also a news report last night saying that there was a multi-vehicle collision on the road opposite the hot pot restaurant where they were.
They all called Su Ke, but no one answered. They thought something had happened to Su Ke, and they were so anxious that they didn't even eat. They went straight to the accident site to check, but after finding out that Su Ke wasn't there, they were relieved.
"Something happened; my phone crashed because it was raining." Su Ke stepped aside to let him out, then went inside. Before closing the door, she said to Xiao Yang, "I have some questions I want to ask you later." Then she closed the door.
Xiao Yang was wiping his hair with a bewildered look on his face, but he still obediently went to sit on the sofa and waited for Su Ke to come out.
The living room is small, with only a long sofa and a coffee table in front of it.
Because they needed to find part-time jobs during the summer vacation, Su Ke and Xiao Yang rented a room near the school as soon as the vacation started.
The apartment has two rooms, a bathroom, and a living room. I was able to rent this apartment thanks to Si Yue's help.
Xiao Yang and Su Ke's families were not well-off, not even considered moderately well-off. During their school years, they had to find part-time jobs on weekends to barely make ends meet during their school years.
