Chapter 67: Haunted House Horror Edition 3

They found a yellowed note in a secret room covered with cobwebs.

I always forget things, so I decided to write down the important things.

Normally, I can't leave this room, but I always want to go out.

But I sometimes forget about it.

This is not right, I can't leave this house.

So to prevent me from trying to leave, I decided to lock the key to the gate.

I hid the key with my most loyal friends, trusting them to guard the key to the door.

"Wow, I don't know why, I felt okay at first, but after seeing this note I felt a chill down my spine."

"There was only a note in the secret room, nothing else?"

"So we're going to find the hidden key? What does the most loyal friend mean?"

"Look at the map again?"

Bai You took out the map again, this time with a downward symbol, and this time the symbol pointed to a chaotic coil.

"The clues on the map aren't clear enough. We just know we should go down?"

"Looks like we need to explore the second floor?"

After walking out of the secret room, Bai You found that the door of the attic was not locked and could be pushed open directly.

They walked down the stairs carefully and came to the second floor.

Compared to the empty first floor, the second floor seems even more eerie and unpredictable due to the collapsed furniture.

The doors of the rooms on both sides of the corridor were tightly closed, with complicated locks and rusty hinges, giving people an insurmountable feeling.

For some reason, the corridor here was full of mirrors. Nan Wenxin took a look and almost screamed in fright. Her reflection in the mirror suddenly began to bleed and showed a very weird smile.

Fortunately, Bai You covered Nan Wenxin's eyes and pulled her down to squat away from the mirror.

Bai You gestured to Liu Yuqin and Liu Chenge, meaning that everyone should search separately.

They explored carefully, but the old floor inevitably made a squeaking sound when they stepped on it.

Suddenly, heavy and hurried footsteps were heard from the end of the corridor, and a strange man holding an axe and wearing a hood appeared.

His eyes emitted a crazy red light through the gaps in his hood, and he raised his axe and rushed towards Bai You and his group.

This time everyone's first reaction was to run. Their hearts were beating violently in their chests. Chased by the monster, the group of people panicked and looked for various possible hiding places.

In the chaos, Liu Yuqin found a room with an unlocked door. She immediately pulled others in, quickly closed the door, and then blocked it with the furniture in the room.

The room was pitch black, and everyone huddled together, listening to the noise outside.

The sound of the axe hitting the door made their nerves tense to the extreme.

I don’t know what this door is made of, but the material is very good. I couldn’t break it open even after hitting it with an axe several times.

The footsteps outside the door gradually faded away, as if the weirdo outside had given up.

Before the people in the room could breathe a sigh of relief, a terrifying melody suddenly rang out in the room. It was an eerie melody that was enough to send chills down everyone's spine even without the lyrics.

Bai You and the others saw that as the melody sounded, tattered puppets and dolls crawled out of dusty boxes. The movements of these puppets and dolls were stiff and mechanical, but they danced around the tourists in an extremely coordinated manner.

There were exaggerated smiles on their faces, but those smiles looked particularly hideous in this environment.

The terrifying melody echoed in the room, and the puppets and dolls danced to the rhythm of the music. Until the music stopped abruptly, the puppets and dolls stopped moving. They all turned to Bai You and his group and asked a question in a hollow and mechanical voice:

"Red. Stop on red, go on green. Red light! Red light! I'm dead at the next intersection. Excuse me, what happened?"

"You have 30 seconds to think."

"30, 29, 28..."

The puppets and dolls began to count down.

Bai You and his friends realized that they had accidentally entered the room where the key was hidden as mentioned in the note. These puppets and dolls should be the loyal friends mentioned in the note. It seems that as long as they answer the questions correctly, they can get the key to get out.

"Ah, dead brain, think faster."

"Traffic light? Does it have anything to do with crossing the street?"

"But why did he die at the next intersection?"

"Traffic accident?"

"It's not that simple."

"Answer me first," Liu Chenge replied, "Was it a traffic accident?"

"Wrong." The puppets all made cross gestures.

"19, 18, 17..."

The countdown continues.

A group of people were having an urgent discussion. Even Zhang Yang and Nan Wenxin didn't care about being afraid and started to discuss.

"Based on the order of the story, did he die because he ran a red light?"

"What does the red at the beginning mean?"

"This problem must be related to the car."

"Why did you yell red light, red light? Did you run a red light?"

"10, 9, 8, 7..." Time is running out.

Bai You suddenly shouted, "Ah! I know!"

"The answer is that the deceased got into a random taxi on the side of the road. While fastening his seatbelt, he felt blood on the side and suspected the driver of murder. To protect himself, he pretended to be red-green color blind and pretended to ask the driver why the seatbelt was covered in gray water. The driver said nothing and suddenly ran a red light at the next intersection. The deceased subconsciously called out a red light. The driver said, 'So you can see red.'"
