25. Chapter 25: Fishing Enforcement

Chapter 25: Fishing Enforcement

Jiang Ning took the subway for an hour. After arriving at her destination, she got off the subway with her backpack on her back, lowered her head and followed the crowd out of the subway station.

Jiang Ning learned the detailed address of the prisoner He Hui from the system and took a subway directly to Fuhua Road from the subway station.

Although Jiang Ning was wearing a hat and a mask, the driver could still tell from her outfit and pretty eyes that she was a young girl.

The driver spoke in Mandarin with a slightly curled tongue, and said to Jiang Ning: "Girl, Fuhua Road is quite remote, do you live there?"

"No, go find someone." Jiang Ning curled her lips and spoke in a clear voice.

The driver immediately became concerned when he heard this: "Who are you looking for? Man or woman? At your age, you must pay attention to safety when you go out."

Jiang Ning answered one by one: "She is a woman, I know, thank you uncle."

The driver only picked up Jiang Ning, a passenger, and the subway was quite far from Fuhua Road, so it took half an hour to drive there.

The driver was obviously a chatterbox. Even if Jiang Ning didn't take the initiative to find a topic, he could still chat on his own. Jiang Ning responded with good temper and asked for some information he wanted from time to time.

Jiang Ning learned from the driver that Fuhua Town, where Fuhua Road is located, is the most economically backward of the nearby towns.

As early as fifty years ago, Fuhua Town was still a key target for vigorous development in the urban area. However, Fuhua Town was not in a good location, and more than thirty years ago, a heavy industrial pollution accident occurred in the area, causing many manufacturers to move away and relocate to other places.

The massive population loss has led to the gradual decline of Fuhua Town’s economy, and it has now become a typical retirement town.

Half an hour later, the driver took Jiang Ning to Fuhua Town.

The light blue taxi stopped at an intersection. The driver raised his hand and pointed at Jiang Ning, saying, "Move, this road is Fuhua Road."

"Okay, thank you, master. I'll get off here." Jiang Ning took out his mobile phone and scanned the code to pay.

The temperature today is pleasant. Under the blue sky and white clouds, the sun is not scorching in the morning. The streets of Fuhua Town are very clean, but there are relatively few pedestrians on the road.

Jiang Ning raised her hand to take off the mask, and the girl's delicate facial features were immediately revealed. Her skin was fair and smooth, and even without makeup, there was no trace of flaw on her face.

Jiang Ning took out the camera she had been carrying all the way from her backpack and hung it around her neck. She held the camera up with interest and took pictures of the streets around her.

The system in his mind watched Jiang Ning walk from the beginning of Fuhua Road to the end of the street, and even stayed at the nearby deserted port for a while. Rather than catching a criminal, she seemed more like a young traveler who came to this small town to collect folk songs.

The system was a little anxious, fearing that Jiang Ning would lose his ambition due to playing with it: [Host, you just passed by the prisoner's home, did you see it?] "Don't worry." Jiang Ning comforted it: "Be patient."

As he spoke, Jiang Ning raised the camera in his hand and took another photo of the clean beach.

The system didn't quite understand Jiang Ning's actions. It scanned the surrounding area on its own, focusing on He Hui's home. It was shocked by the result.

[Host, He Hui is standing on her balcony, peeking at you!] The thin old lady, with wrinkles all over her face and a pair of slanted eyes showing a gloomy look, looked like a poisonous snake curled up in a gutter, staring at passers-by as she stared at Jiang Ning through a telescope on her balcony.

Jiang Ning chuckled and was not surprised by the system's words.

As early as ten minutes ago, Jiang Ning felt the uncomfortable gaze from behind her.

Jiang Ning asked the system a question: "Tongzi, have you ever heard of a word?"

[What word?] "Entrapment."

Jiang Ning put down the camera, suddenly turned around, and walked back with brisk and happy steps.

The system in the mind was dumbfounded. It didn't quite understand what Jiang Ning meant, but it had been paying attention to He Hui's movements. And like an intelligent surveillance camera with a voice assistant, it updated He Hui's movements in the mind simultaneously.

[Host, He Hui turned around and went into the house! ] [Host, He Hui went downstairs! ] [Huh? Why is she carrying such a big bag? ] [Wow, it turns out that her house has a back door. ] [The back door leads to the alley leading to Fuhua Road. Isn't this unnecessary? ] The stupid voice of the system fell to the ground, and soon, Jiang Ning saw a woman walking out of the alley not far away.

The woman was thin, with a hunched back. She was carrying a large heavy bag in her hands and walking alone on the street. She looked very difficult.

The system routinely reminded: [The criminal He Hui has been found. Please capture her within three days. After completing the task, you will be rewarded with 12 days of life and 200 merits.] Jiang Ning's eyes deepened. If it weren't for the system's confirmation, she probably wouldn't be so sure that the person in front of her was He Hui.

The information says that she is only 47 years old this year, but looking at He Hui's unsteady gait and her head full of white hair, people would believe she is 70!

Jiang Ning walked up quickly and asked with concern: "Grandma, why are you carrying things on the street alone? Where are you going? Do you need help?"

He Hui raised her head, her face full of wrinkles. Her eyes first fell on Jiang Ning's face. Looking at Jiang Ning's bare face, a hint of satisfaction flashed in her eyes.

He Hui coughed twice and pretended to be weak and said, "My family lives in front... My husband passed away, my children are not around, and my cat is out of food, so I came out to buy some."

"Oh! I like cats, too. Let me carry it for you!" Jiang Ning reached out to take the bag of cat food from her. He Hui instantly let go and grabbed Jiang Ning's arm, leading her towards her home while gratefully saying, "Thank you, little girl. You're so kind."

Jiang Ning responded modestly: "No, no, it just happened to be there."

He Hui started chatting: "Little girl, you look unfamiliar to me, you don't look like a local."

Jiang Ning nodded innocently, with a clear and foolish light in her eyes: "Yeah, grandma has a good eye. I'm a blogger who likes photography. I just came to this town today. The scenery here is really beautiful."

"You young people just like to play around. My good-for-nothing son is the same. He never comes home all year round."

He Hui complained a few words, and the two of them soon walked to the door of He Hui's house.

After she opened the door, Jiang Ning brought the cat food in her hand in for her and was about to leave, but was stopped by He Hui.

He Hui invited him warmly, "Don't go, don't go. Stay and have a cup of tea. You have helped me so much. I would feel bad if you leave without a cup of tea."

Jiang Ning seemed a little thirsty too, and nodded: "Okay, thank you, mother-in-law."

He Hui came out of the house with a glass of water and handed it to Jiang Ning. Jiang Ning took it and drank it, and then after a while, she fainted on the ground.
