Chapter 677: A Benefactor's Help

"They've already eaten. The father and son are having a good time."

She thought that if she didn't go home, the father and son would definitely not have anything to eat.

To her disbelief, when she returned home, Yang Kai had made oil-splashed noodles, cucumber salad, and stir-fried chili peppers. When she went in, the father and son were watching TV and enjoying their meal.
The house wasn't as dirty and messy as she had imagined; it was very clean.

I simply asked her why she came back at this hour.
She said she was worried about them, afraid they wouldn't have enough to eat. Yang Kai replied, "Mom, what's there to worry about? It's just cooking. Anyone can do that. I told you, you don't need to worry about me. With me here, I'll make sure Dad doesn't go hungry. You can just focus on your stall."
