Bai Zhi drank her water without answering her question. "Dr. Chen, I'm already tired enough from work. We can talk about work tomorrow. Just thinking about it gives me a headache."

Lu Ye drove Bai Zhi to the courtyard that Ye Rufeng had bought.
This courtyard is located on the east side of the south city, about five kilometers away from Lu Ye's courtyard. The two houses are not far apart.
The courtyard wasn't in the alley, but rather in a courtyard behind the street, with a shop selling writing brushes, ink, paper, and inkstones in front of it.

The courtyard gate is a very antique wooden door.
Bai Zhi followed Lu Ye inside. The grape trellis covered almost half the yard, which also had a small garden.

She'll have to ask around and buy one for herself too.

The two entered the living room, where Ye Rufeng and Ye Qingbai were leisurely drinking tea. Upon seeing them return, Ye Rufeng glanced at Bai Zhi and asked, "So busy on your first day of work?"
Bai Zhi explained, "No, I went to dinner with my colleagues after get off work."

"Grandpa, if I had known you were moving today, I would have come back earlier. The problem is, I was kept in the dark."
She looked around the entire hall. A central scroll hung on the wall, and several paintings of plum blossoms, orchids, bamboo, and chrysanthemums were on the side walls. The whole room was decorated in a simple and elegant style, full of charm.
"Grandpa, this house is really nice! Which room is mine?" Bai Zhi asked, her face full of anticipation.
This will be her actual family home from now on.
Ye Qingbai replied, "Cousin, yours is the one on the north side, I live in the east room."
Lu Ye stood aside, and upon hearing Ye Qingbai's words, his expression turned slightly resentful.
Ye Qingbai, as his subordinate, was extremely adept at understanding his superior's thoughts.
He chuckled and said, "Brother Ye, don't look at me like that. Once you marry my cousin, her room will be yours, right? Do you really want a room all to yourself?"
