In the front hall, Madam Chen was so angry that she threw the cup in her hand down. "You useless people! You can't even take care of a drugged woman. What's the point of having you?"
The two maids trembled and knelt on the ground, not daring to say a word.
The old servant beside him gently soothed her, "Madam, don't worry. The Chen Mansion is so big, and Lu Wanning has been poisoned by that drug. I don't think she can escape. The nobles haven't arrived yet, and even if the show is performed, no one will watch it. Madam, don't worry too much."
"Lu Wanning is bound to make a fool of herself today. The maid knelt on the ground in panic, her face terrified, "Madam, something happened."
Today was the old lady's birthday, a joyous occasion, and with so many guests present, the maid was so startled that the master of the second house couldn't sit still and slammed the table, "What's the rush?"
The maid glanced at Madam Chen, who then scolded her, "What's going on on such a happy day? You're making such a fuss, you have absolutely no manners at all. Get out of here!"
The Third Lady was watching the excitement and smiled, covering her lips with her hands. "Don't be angry, sister-in-law. Let's hear what this maid has to say first. She looks flustered, maybe there's something urgent going on."
This naturally hit the spot for Mrs. Chen. She frowned, as if she was afraid of disturbing the guests, and said to the maid, "Tell me, what's the matter that makes you so panic?"
The maid knelt on the ground without looking up, her voice trembling, "Madam, there is something wrong in the back room. I hear the voices of Miss Lu and Young Master."
A single stone caused a thousand waves, and whispers suddenly sounded all around.
Before Madam Chen could even react, Aunt An stood up with a bang and swung the handkerchief in her hand directly at the maid's face, "Nonsense!"
There were so many guests in the front hall, and this maid said such words in public. Even if it was not true, it would have a huge impact on Lu Wanning's reputation.
How can she talk about marriage in the future?
What's more, the second young master of the Wu family is a piece of shit. He lost three wives in a row. People outside say that he has a tough life, but in fact, everyone knows that all three wives were abused to death by him.
Aunt An was so angry that she was shaking all over.

Mrs. Chen was helped up by the servants. She covered her waist which was hurt by the collision and was about to curse when she saw Aunt An open the door of the wing room completely for her and stood at the door looking at her with a strange expression.
She was still immersed in the anger of being knocked to the ground by Aunt An. She walked in and shouted, "How dare they do such shameful things here in broad daylight! Come on! Capture these two shameful people for me——"
"ah!!!"
Mrs. Chen's screams almost echoed throughout the Chen Mansion.
The guests who squeezed in opened their mouths in shock when they saw the scene inside.
