"She wasn't firm enough; she was indecisive."
“If this kind of internal strife is not acted well, the audience will think she is hypocritical, cowardly, and fickle, and she will be criticized mercilessly.”
He looked up at Su Qianqian: "But if you act it out well, this is the most complex, real, and touching multifaceted nature of humanity."
"Her kindness is real, her pain is real, and her struggles and weaknesses are real."
"As long as you can make this role stand out, it will be the stepping stone for you to become an actor."
Before Qianqian could speak, Brother Wang took a deep breath and revealed the character's tragic ending:
"At the last moment when the old monarch was completely defeated and the electoral system seemed to have won, she chose to betray the old regime, providing crucial intelligence and helping the new faction."
"Then she returned to that cold palace, a symbol of the old regime, and died as a martyr to her master."
There was a moment of silence in the office.
Brother Wang's voice was filled with emotion:
Ironically, she never knew until her death that the biggest winners of the last favor she gave—the establishment of the electoral system—were the four major conglomerate families that had been lurking in the shadows and had long since infiltrated everything.
"They became the true shadow emperors of this country, with money, guns, and control over everything."
"All the pain, sacrifice, and struggle she endured for ultimately benefited others."
"Although this drama is a fictional story, it does have some real-life counterparts. You should be familiar with one of these four great families."
Brother Wang drew the character "顾" on the table.
He looked at Su Qianqian with a complicated expression: "The opportunity is top-notch."
"The risks are also unknown."
"Lin Shu recommended you; she definitely didn't have good intentions."
"This role is too selective and too easy to attract negative attention, especially for a newcomer like you. It's like being roasted on a fire."
"Qianqian, what do you think? Should we cancel?"
Su Qianqian did not answer Brother Wang's question immediately, but instead stretched out her slender, fair fingers and gently picked up the biographical sketch.
Her fingertips traced the words "female doctor," "undercover agent," "internal strife," and "martyrdom," her eyes focused and calm.
The soul in the script, struggling painfully between light and darkness, kindness and evil, loyalty and betrayal, seemed to be sending a silent cry to her through the pages.
That sense of being torn apart and tragically impacted her deeply.
This was a hundred times more profound than the minor characters she had seen before.
Su Qianqian raised her eyes, her clear almond-shaped eyes looking at Brother Wang. Gone was her usual shyness; in its place was determination.
She parted her red lips slightly: "Brother Wang, I want to try out for this role." (This chapter has been read. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
