Su Qianqian, who had been frozen in her seat, suddenly filled her almond-shaped eyes with tears the moment she saw Gu Chengyu.
Like a frightened kitten, she sprang up from the chair and stumbled towards the figure in the doorway.
Gu Chengyu subconsciously opened his arms.
Su Qianqian rammed her head hard into his chest, her slender arms tightly wrapped around his strong waist, her face buried deep in his chest.
Gu Chengyu shielded her, a wave of fear washing over him, and he blurted out without thinking, "Su Qianqian!"
"You fucking got some nerve? You dare to run into a place like this all by yourself?"
"Where's your phone? I've called you over a dozen times! Why didn't you answer?"
The little girl shrank back at his yelling, rubbed her face against him, and, feeling guilty, dared not look up. She began to sob softly.
"Waaaah... Ah Yu, he lied to me. He said he was here to discuss a role."
"But he tried to touch me just now, it was so disgusting..."
She complained pitifully, her voice soft and whiny, every word striking Gu Chengyu's heart.
He held her trembling little body tightly in his arms with one hand, and gently patted her back with the other, his movements tender and comforting.
"Don't be afraid, I'm here."
Seeing that his tone had softened, the young girl began to explain, "I didn't answer the phone because I was reading the script on silent."
"Ah Yu, I'm so scared..."
"His big hand almost touched my leg just now, I was so disgusted."
"You didn't even try to comfort me, and you even yelled at me..."
"Waaaah, Ayu~"
As she sobbed, she tightened her arms around his waist.
Those tearful calls of "A-Yu" were like a feather gently brushing against Gu Chengyu's most sensitive heartstrings.
The image of her being unable to bear it any longer, turning her head with red eyes, and taking the initiative to call out that name to beg for mercy flashed through my mind.
Gu Chengyu's Adam's apple bobbed violently as he forcibly suppressed the fire that had been stirred up.
