Chen Que leaned lazily against the bar, while Chen Nian sat on a high stool, his gaze occasionally drifting toward the driver's seat.
Su Qianqian gazed outside with bright, sparkling eyes.
The waves, the blue sky, the seabirds flying in the distance... she was mesmerized by everything.
This was a vastness and freedom she had never seen before.
Gu Chengyu turned on the autopilot switch.
He turned around and called to her, "Qianqian, come here."
Su Qianqian walked over carefully.
The boat rocked slightly, and she stumbled. He stood up, put his arm around her waist, and then pulled her down to sit next to the driver's seat.
"Are you scared?" he asked, looking down, his voice muffled by the sound of the wind and waves.
Su Qianqian looked up at him and said, "I'm not afraid as long as you're here."
Gu Chengyu smiled, covered her hand with his large hand, and guided her to press the steering wheel: "Want to try?"
A slight vibration came from the steering wheel under her palm; she felt a little nervous, yet also a little excited.
"Relax."
He shifted his position, letting her sit in his lap, his breath brushing against her ear, "I'll teach you."
Shen Que whistled.
Gu Chengyu didn't even turn his head: "Shut up."
Qin Yu laughed heartily: "Oh my, Teacher Chengyu is starting the class."
"Qianqian, learn quickly. Once you've learned it, you can drive it yourself next time."
Su Qianqian smiled, amused, but her body involuntarily leaned against the warm chest behind her.
Gu Chengyu wrapped his arms around her, almost completely encircling her in his embrace.
After driving for a while, Gu Chengyu handed the steering wheel to Qin Yu: "You play with it for a bit."
Qin Yu rubbed his hands together, eager to show his skills: "Watch me."
His technique was clearly not as steady as Gu Chengyu's. The boat suddenly accelerated, and Su Qianqian cried out softly and fell backward, but Gu Chengyu caught her steadily.
"Qin Yu, slow down!" Gu Chengyu frowned.
"It's alright, it's alright!" Qin Yu replied, but didn't slow down.
Instead, he winked smugly at Su Qianqian: "Exciting, isn't it, Qianqian? It's more thrilling than Chengyu's driving, isn't it?"
Su Qianqian was amused and was about to nod when the boat lurched again.
She instinctively grabbed Gu Chengyu's arm.
Gu Chengyu led her to sit down on the sofa next to him, and stood on the outside, blocking her way: "Sit still and don't move around."
Qin Yu was still shouting, "Cheng Yu, don't be so protective. Let Qian Qian experience real speed and passion."
Gu Chengyu grabbed a bottle of water and threw it at him: "Get lost."
He then lowered his head and asked Su Qianqian, "Do you like boat rides?"
Su Qianqian's eyes curved into crescent moons: "I like it."
Her skin was delicate, and her face was slightly red from the sea breeze. A few strands of hair clung to her cheeks, making her look fresh and charming.
Gu Chengyu stared at her for a few seconds, then suddenly reached out and smoothed her hair.
"Next time I'll take you to a banquet on a luxury yacht and stay for a few days."
"OK?"
Su Qianqian nodded, her voice soft: "Okay."
