Chapter 169 Zhou Yu'an (2/2)

This is the third day in a row.

Those childhood memories, long sealed away, would occasionally resurface and disturb him.

He was no longer a helpless boy, and he was fearless, but he just couldn't sleep whenever the autumn rains were pouring down.

This feeling of being out of control made him very uncomfortable.

He, Zhou Yu'an, is a recognized genius surgeon in the medical field. He made a name for himself internationally at a young age and is also proficient in psychology.

He can calmly analyze the most complex cases and manage the family business with ease.

But now, he is helpless when it comes to his most basic physiological needs.

He didn't smoke; he simply stubbed out the cigarette with a blank expression.

Then I went to the bedside table, where there was a medicine bottle.

He poured out two white pills and swallowed them with cold water.

Under the influence of the medication, my heart seemed to beat a little slower, but the deep-seated fatigue and mental clarity still stubbornly resisted.

He has developed a resistance to these sedative drugs.

Normal doses have little effect, while increasing the dose can cause drowsiness the next day, affecting his ability to hold the scalpel.

He rubbed his throbbing temples, lay down on the bed, picked up his tablet, swiped, and opened the YinYuan app.

He occasionally listens to instrumental music here to help him sleep, but the effect has always been mediocre.

The recommendation page automatically pushed some new works.

His gaze swept across the screen, but he showed little interest. Then a notification popped up: "[Your friend 'Weiwei is not Weiwei' has released a new work.]"

Zhou Yu'an vaguely remembered her; she was the Qin family's little girl who was always into music. She was quite talented, and the few instrumental pieces she released had some effect.

But it's late autumn now...

Zhou Yu'an casually clicked on the push notification.

A gentle and soothing prelude flows out, consisting of simple piano chords.

Then, a woman's voice softly rang out.

Her voice was clear, sweet, and ethereal as she slowly sang lyrics about moonlight and old windows.

There weren't many singing techniques, and you could even hear some awkwardness in her voice, but that purity was inexplicably captivating.

Zhou Yu'an leaned against the headboard and closed his eyes.

This sound is rather peculiar.

The medication seemed to be slowly taking effect, and the ethereal singing gently calmed the turbulent thoughts deep in my mind, gradually fading away.

He didn't recognize that it was Su Qianqian's voice.

First, his impression of her was that she was just an excessively beautiful canary, pampered and spoiled by Cheng Yu.

Secondly, there are already some differences between singing and speaking, and when the recording is transmitted, it becomes even more difficult to distinguish.

As for the third, it's a little-known flaw that no one has ever noticed: he's a bit tone-deaf.

The song is set to loop, with the clear, spring-like female voice singing repeatedly.

Zhou Yu'an slowly relaxed, lay down in the blankets, and his breathing gradually became long and even. (This chapter has been read. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
