Her voice wasn't loud, but the familiar name made Chen Li immediately turn his head.
Qin Yuwei also moved to Su Qianqian's side and saw the scene on the other side of the corridor. Her eyes widened in surprise.
Without thinking, he blurted out, "Chen Que? Brother Shen? How did you two end up together?"
Her face was filled with disbelief.
When Shen Que saw Su Qianqian, he was somewhat embarrassed and wanted to avoid her, but he was then angered by Qin Yuwei's attitude.
In the past, when he was alone, he didn't care what they thought.
But in front of her brother, wasn't she deliberately trying to cause trouble by acting like this?
"It's none of your business." Chen Que's voice was icy, his sharp gaze sweeping over Qin Yuwei with a clear sense of rejection.
Brother Shen remained gentle, nodding slightly to Su Qianqian and Qin Yuwei as he explained:
"Most of the rumors outside are untrue, but I haven't come forward to clarify them because of my mother."
"Xiao Que and I have a very good relationship."
"Brother!" Shen Que interrupted him, not wanting him to say any more.
He doesn't understand people in the outside world; they only want to hear what they want to hear and see what they want to see, so all explanations are a waste of breath.
Just like the clear chain of evidence in that car accident years ago, it was an accident, but almost no one was willing to believe it.
They all believed that he was the one who harmed his own brother.
Shen Que didn't want to lose his temper in front of Su Qianqian, so he pushed his wheelchair, wanting to leave this embarrassing place as soon as possible.
He was restless and pushed the door a little too hastily.
The medical record that was on Brother Shen's lap slipped off.
Shen Que was unaware and continued pushing her brother forward.
Brother Shen sensed his younger brother's tense emotions, sighed slightly, and didn't remind him that he had dropped something.
Su Qianqian looked at the fallen medical record, then at the backs of the two brothers, and softly said to Qin Yuwei, "Wait for me a moment."
She jogged over, squatted down, and picked up the medical record.
Then she ran a few more steps and caught up with the two people in front of her.
“Chen Que”.
"Your brother's medical records are lost."
Chen Que's steps faltered, and his back stiffened for a moment.
He slowly turned around.
Su Qianqian handed over the medical record, her eyes calm.
Shen Que was also looking at her, and he saw no trace of inquiry or surprise in her eyes.
It's like simply picking up something a stranger dropped in a hospital corridor.
Shen Que took the medical record.
Her calmness, however, puzzled him.
He spoke, his voice dry and hoarse: "Don't you find it strange at all?"
He regretted asking the question as soon as he did; it was tantamount to voluntarily revealing that past.
Upon hearing this, Su Qianqian chuckled softly.
"What's strange? Why would someone who climbed to power by stepping on his brothers secretly bring his older brother to seek medical treatment?"
She looked at him calmly and said, "I have eyes, I can see for myself."
After saying that, she didn't linger any longer and turned to walk towards Qin Yuwei.
Shen Que stood there, holding the medical record in his hand, his fingertips tightening slightly.
He knew she was telling the truth.
She really has no prejudice whatsoever.
Sitting in his wheelchair, Brother Shen witnessed everything, and it was quite a rare treat to get a glimpse into his brother's love life.
He spoke softly, his voice tinged with teasing: "This young girl looks so clear and pure."
"Ah Que, if you like her, go for it seriously."
Shen Que lowered his head, looked at the medical record in his hand, and gave a self-deprecating smile.
He pushed his brother forward slowly, his voice low and tinged with melancholy:
"Brother, I want to too."
