"Mmm." Su Qianqian nodded obediently. She didn't want to get a shot, but she still had to listen to me.
Gu Chengyu pinched the tip of her nose and continued his nagging lecture: "Also, next time she gets sick, let Fang Qing take care of her. You are not allowed to go to the hospital with her again."
"What if you get infected? Your body is already weaker than others, and you can't withstand any more stress."
As he spoke, he recalled how uncomfortable she looked when she was sick last time.
He then pulled the little girl closer to his chest, resting his chin on the top of her head, his voice deepening, tinged with a stubborn seriousness:
"To me, no one else matters, you are the most important."
"So you have to be perfect for me, and you can't make the slightest mistake."
Su Qianqian felt a sweet warmth in her heart as she was amused by his series of nagging words, and her fatigue seemed to dissipate considerably.
She lifted her head in his arms, blinked her watery almond-shaped eyes, and said softly and coquettishly, "I know, A-Yu is the best, he loves me the most..."
She stretched out her slender, white arms and wrapped them around his neck, then tilted her head up and gently pecked him on the jawline.
"I'll listen to A-Yu. I'll wear more clothes from now on and I won't go to the hospital so often, okay?"
Gu Chengyu was so charmed by her adorable appearance that he lost all his temper and his heart melted.
He lowered his head, took her two delicate red lips into his mouth, and began to entwine them until she was panting, before reluctantly letting go.
"My dear Qianqian," he murmured hoarsely.
Gu Chengyu gently stroked her back to help her calm her breathing.
He suddenly remembered something and slowly began to speak:
"Didn't I accidentally ruin that light green dress I was wearing before by biting and tearing it?"
"The brand sent over a lot of new styles today, and they're all hanging in the closet."
"I was planning to wait for you to come back and coax you into wearing them one by one for me to see."
He paused, sighed, and said with a hint of regret, "But I'll leave it for now. I'll save it for spring and wear it for me then."
After all, although the apartment was warm inside, he was afraid she would catch a cold and dared not take the risk.
Gu Chengyu's romantic thoughts faded somewhat.
As Su Qianqian listened to him while resting her head on his chest, a thought popped into her head.
She raised her small face, resting her chin against his firm chest, blinking her watery almond-shaped eyes, her voice soft and sweet, with a hint of grievance:
"Ah Yu, I'd completely forgotten about your new clothes. Do you remember the light blue one you wore to South Bay?" (This chapter has been read. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
