Chapter 23 Fair and Tender (2/2)

With her plain looks, even if she had some beauty, she wouldn't stand out on a film set full of beautiful women.

But in Lin Shu's eyes, it was like a tiny thorn, making her inexplicably irritated.

In just three days, a dark-skinned country girl suddenly became so fair and delicate.

He hid his shortcomings in front of her, and he put on a good show.

What's she up to? Wants to get into the entertainment industry? She won't let her have her way.

"Su Qianqian!" Lin Shu sat in front of the large makeup mirror, looking at her flawless skin that required careful base makeup to achieve, and the fire in her heart burned even brighter.

Her voice was sarcastic, "Where's the coffee? What are you dawdling about!"

"Coming, Sister Shu." Su Qianqian responded immediately, bowed her head, and quickly stepped forward to place the perfectly warm coffee beside her.

Lin Shu didn't immediately go to get the coffee; her critical gaze swept over Su Qianqian's lowered profile and neck.

Her delicate, fair skin, under the bright lights of the lounge, had almost no visible pores, making it even more striking in contrast to her own slightly heavy makeup.

"Tsk." Lin Shu let out a soft scoff, her disdain undisguised.

"Haven't seen you for a few days, and your face is so fair? What good stuff have you been using? Instead of focusing on your work, you're saving that little bit of salary to fix your face? Who are you dressing up for as an assistant?"

Her words were barbed and full of condescending disdain.

Su Qianqian lowered her head even further, her black-rimmed glasses slipping down her nose. She quickly pushed them up, her voice weak: "No, Sister Shu. I've been resting a bit better lately."

"Did you get some rest?" Lin Shu tapped the table with her bright red nail polished fingers, as if she had heard a joke.

"I think you've got too ambitious! Where's the list of the sponsored jewelry I asked you to organize this morning?"

"You've been dragging your feet until now! You've wasted the brand's time, can you afford to take responsibility for that?"

"Here's the list, Sister Shu." Su Qianqian quickly took out a neatly printed list from her large canvas bag and handed it over with both hands.

Lin Shu snatched it away, glanced at it briefly, and frowned even more: "What kind of layout is this? It's a mess! The brand logo isn't even prominent! Redo it!"

"I want to see something new before I leave work!"

As she spoke, she casually crumpled the list into a ball and tossed it at Su Qianqian's feet.

Su Qianqian looked at the crumpled paper at her feet, pursed her lips, silently squatted down to pick it up, and whispered, "...Okay, Sister Shu, I'll go and fix it right away."

Seeing her submissive attitude, Lin Shu's anger not only didn't subside, but intensified.

She hated the feeling of punching cotton, especially that annoying fair and delicate face.

"What are you still standing there for? Waiting for me to treat you to dinner?" Lin Shu scolded irritably.

Su Qianqian lowered her head and quickly left. (This chapter has been read. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
