Chapter 50 Morning Rising (1/2)

It was almost noon in the master bedroom.

The heavy blackout curtains remained tightly closed, and the master bedroom was dimly lit, with only an ambient light on.

On the bed, Su Qianqian was wrapped in a soft quilt, her long, slightly wavy hair, like seaweed, spread all over the pillow.

Her long eyelashes fluttered several times before she slowly opened her eyes.

Her almond-shaped eyes were still veiled with lingering sleepiness and haziness.

She tried to move her body and immediately gasped.

"hiss……"

A persistent ache emanated from deep within her waist, and her two jade-like legs felt limp and powerless.

Although the nourishment from the Child of Destiny was miraculous, enabling her weak body to recover quickly, it was clearly still not enough to keep up with the physical exertion of the previous night.

She needs more time to recover.

But my stomach betrayed me and growled.

Hungry.

Su Qianqian slightly furrowed her delicate eyebrows, looking a little aggrieved from being woken up by hunger.

She stretched out her slender, fair arm, fumbled for her phone on the bedside table, tapped the screen a few times, and dialed an internal line.

Her voice was still hoarse and soft from just waking up as she naturally instructed, "Aunt Zhang? I'm awake. Could you please bring in some mouthwash and a light snack, something light, and bring it to my bedside?"

A younger, slightly nervous female voice came from the other end of the phone, respectfully replying, "Yes, miss, Aunt Zhang had something come up today, so I'm Xiao Chen, here to cover for her. I'll bring it to you right away!"

Su Qianqian hummed in agreement, not caring who delivered it.

To her, whether it was Aunt Zhang or Xiao Chen, they were both people who took care of her, and there was no difference between them.

She grew up in a hospital ward and was used to being pampered. The poverty and anxiety of arriving in this new world had faded away, and the man's pampering for more than a month made her feel it was all just a matter of course.

She lazily rolled over, burying her face in the fluffy, soft pillow, like a spoiled kitten waiting to be pampered.

Not long after, there was a gentle knock on the master bedroom door. After a soft voice came from inside, Xiao Chen carefully pushed in a delicate mobile dining cart.

The upper level of the food cart contained mouthwash and empty water cups, while the lower level featured a plate of crystal-clear shrimp dumplings and a bowl of steaming bird's nest stewed milk.

Xiao Chen didn't dare to look at the person on the bed too much. With her head down, she quickly and lightly pushed the food cart to the side of the huge bed and pressed the button.

The small dining table rose silently and came to a perfectly positioned height in front of Su Qianqian.
