There was a gentle knock on the door of Lin Shu's studio.
"Come in." Lin Shu's voice came from inside, devoid of emotion.
The door was pushed open, and a figure walked in, accompanied by a refreshing fragrance.
It's Qiao Xi.
Today she wore a beige loose-fitting knit sweater, light blue distressed jeans, and clean white sneakers.
Her long, chestnut-colored curly hair cascaded smoothly over her shoulders, and her makeup was very light, highlighting only her large, bright eyes and full, rosy lips.
She was holding a cup of milk tea she had just bought, and she looked like a college student who had just finished class—innocent, charming, and completely non-threatening.
"Sister Shushu!"
Qiao Xi's face lit up with a big smile, and her voice was clear and melodious: "I'm here!"
"I brought you taro bubble tea, 30% sugar and no ice, your favorite!"
Like a cheerful little bird, she walked up to Lin Shu, placed the milk tea on the coffee table, and her movements were natural and affectionate.
Lin Shu raised her eyes and carefully examined the girl in front of her.
It must be admitted that Qiao Xi's face does indeed have the power to bewitch people.
Unlike Lin Shu's flamboyant and passionate beauty, Qiao Xi's beauty is bright and sweet.
She has delicate features and radiant skin. Her eyes, in particular, are always watery and innocent, like a doe's. Her smile is incredibly infectious.
With her current well-behaved, girl-next-door outfit and her carefree, bright smile, anyone who saw her would think she was a simple-minded, sunny, and lovely girl.
But Lin Shu knew what a nasty face lay beneath that facade.
Over the years, they've all kept those sordid things to themselves.
Otherwise, with so many bright and sweet girls in the entertainment industry, why is it that only Qiao Xi has become popular?
Lin Shu looked at Qiao Xi's exceptionally innocent big eyes and sneered inwardly.
"Sit down, Xixi."
Lin Shu pointed to the sofa opposite her, a gentle smile tinged with weariness appearing on her face.
She didn't touch the milk tea.
Qiao Xi sat down as instructed, her legs together, her long eyelashes fluttering, like a primary school student listening attentively to a lecture.
"Sister Shushu, is what you said on the phone true?"
"Young Master Chengyu, he..." she asked cautiously.
Lin Shu leaned back on the sofa, her eyes vacant, filled with a dejected and disheartened look.
"Yes, it's true, we broke up."
"He has a new actress by his side, named Su Qianqian, a young actress who was just signed by Shen's Group."
She paused, as if recalling something painful, "She was very young, looked very clean, very well-behaved, and very dependent on people."
"Chengyu now protects her like the apple of his eye."
She unlocked her phone, pulled up the photo from Su Qianqian's training Weibo post, and handed it to Qiao Xi.
Qiao Xi moved closer, looking at the stunning girl in the photo, her eyes flashing with scrutiny and coldness.
But when she looked up, her face still held that innocent yet slightly distressed expression.
"Ah, it's her?"
"She looks quite innocent."
She carefully considered her words, then frowned slightly, her expression filled with girlish indignation, "But Sister Shushu, you've been with Young Master Chengyu for so many years, how come she managed to surpass you!"
