Su Qianqian was so engrossed in watching that she didn't even look up, and mumbled, "Hmm, it's alright."
Without a word, Gu Chengyu snatched the book from her hand, closed it, and put it aside: "Take a ten-minute break and let your eyes rest."
"Hey, what are you doing!" Su Qianqian snapped out of her daze after her book was snatched away, and tried to grab it back in a coquettish manner.
Gu Chengyu chuckled softly, not only refusing to return the favor, but instead tightening his grip on her arm and lowering his head.
He first kissed the top of her fragrant hair tenderly, then kissed her smooth forehead, and finally their noses touched as he lightly pecked her slightly pouting pink lips, his voice magnetic and seductive: "Are books more interesting than me?"
Su Qianqian blushed as he kissed her, and softly punched his shoulder, her voice sweet and soft: "Who pursues someone in such an intimate and domineering way!"
It's evening again.
The sun is setting in the west, in a private garden.
Gu Chengyu held Su Qianqian's hand as they strolled leisurely.
Suddenly, Gu Chengyu stopped, turned to face her, and gently covered her eyes with his large hand: "Close your eyes and follow me."
Suddenly, everything went dark. Su Qianqian nervously grabbed his sleeve: "So mysterious..."
"Just follow me." Gu Chengyu's deep voice carried a reassuring power as he carefully guided her forward a few steps.
"Alright, you can open your eyes now."
Su Qianqian's long eyelashes trembled, and she slowly opened her eyes.
The first thing you see is the steps, and below the steps are newly planted flowerbeds, with large patches of light blue hydrangeas in full bloom.
The flowers formed a small figure of a man and a woman, with the names of Su Qianqian and Gu Chengyu below, arranged using small dark blue flowers.
Bathed in the soft glow of the setting sun, the petals shimmered like a dream.
She was pleasantly surprised, and her eyes lit up as if they were filled with stars.
"So beautiful, the little figures look just like us."
Seeing her delighted expression, Gu Chengyu couldn't help but smile, but he pretended to be indifferent: "I just had the gardener do it this morning, as long as you like it."
Only he knew how long he had been thinking about this little surprise. (This chapter has been read. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
