Chapter 1005 Are you alright?
The man obediently took out his phone and deleted all the photos in front of Shen Boyan.
"I've deleted them all! I promise there are no backups!" he assured Shen Boyan confidently. "I...can I go now?"
Shen Boyan ignored him and instead said to Sheng Yao, "Call the police."
Sheng Yao smiled knowingly, "Okay!"
The man got agitated, "No, bro, I've already deleted the photos and apologized, and you still called the police! That's so unfair of you!"
Shen Boyan ignored what he said and didn't let the man leave. The farce only ended when the police arrived and took the man away.
As Sheng Yao watched the man being led into the police car, she said to Shen Boyan, "Thanks to you today, otherwise he really would have gotten away."
Shen Boyan asked calmly, "What are you doing here?"
Sheng Yao paused, then her expression turned somewhat disappointed. "What else could I have done but come to find you?"
Ever since Shen Boyan suggested they give it a try, Sheng Yao has been preoccupied with how to take their relationship to the next level.
Although Shen Boyan had verbally agreed, the two had not officially confirmed their relationship.
Without a confession and without a clear understanding of each other's status, this relationship will always remain awkward.
But for Sheng Yao, this was still an opportunity, and she was unwilling to give it up easily.
Shen Boyan isn't the type to take the initiative; these past few days, the two haven't even met, let alone spoken on the phone.

Shen Boyan pursed his lips and said, "I've been too busy these past two days."

That's all he could do in this relationship.
Sheng Yao asked, "How is Uncle Chen? Is he feeling any better?"
Shen Boyan shook his head. "No."
Sheng Yao lowered her head sadly, "I'm sorry, I thought that as long as Uncle Zhang performed the surgery on Uncle Shen, he would get better..."
Shen Boyan said, "It has nothing to do with you. There's nothing that can be done about his current condition."
Sheng Yao knew that Shen Boyan must be feeling bad, but she didn't know how to comfort him.
She opened her mouth, about to say something, when Shen Boyan suddenly asked her, "Are you going to a bar?"

Sheng Yao asked, "You don't mean you want me to go to a bar with you, do you?"
Shen Boyan nodded.
Sheng Yao said, "It's not that we can't go, it's just..."
Sheng Yao thought to herself that if Shen Boyan wanted to take her out, they could go somewhere else; bars were too noisy.
It doesn't seem like the right time for a "date".
Shen Boyan didn't give Sheng Yao a chance to hesitate and said directly, "Let's go, come with me to the bar."
Before Sheng Yao could even react, he grabbed her hand and left.
Sheng Yao followed behind him, her gaze fixed on their clasped hands, her heart pounding wildly.
If he remembered correctly, this was the first time Shen Boyan had held her hand.
Sheng Yao was led to a bar by Shen Boyan. The two found a private room, and as soon as they sat down, Shen Boyan asked the waiter, "Do you have tea?"
Um?
The waiter looked bewildered, wondering if he had misheard. "Do you want some tea?"
Shen Boyan nodded in acknowledgment, "Yes, is that so?"
Not to mention the waiters, even Sheng Yao was stunned by Shen Boyan's actions.
Who comes to a bar and drinks tea instead of alcohol?
Sheng Yao tentatively asked Shen Boyan, "Shen Boyan, are you... alright?"
Shen Boyan remained calm. "I'm fine."
The waiter could only ask Shen Boyan, "We also have tea here. What kind of tea would you like to drink?"
"Anything is fine, just not too expensive."
The waiter smiled and nodded, "Okay, please wait a moment."
A short while later, the waiter brought the tea over.
Shen Boyan skillfully poured himself a glass, then turned to Sheng Yao and asked, "Do you want some?"
Sheng Yao quickly waved her hand, "I don't want to drink it, I'll just have juice."
Sheng Yao doesn't like drinking tea. In her mind, people who like drinking tea are older people like her father or grandfather.
She had never seen any young people who liked drinking tea.
And not only does he like drinking tea, but he also comes to a bar to drink tea.
Sheng Yao didn't drink, and Shen Boyan didn't force her. He took a sip of tea himself and then frowned.
It's a bit bitter, but the taste is not bad.
Sitting next to her, Sheng Yao couldn't resist asking out of curiosity, "Do you really like drinking tea?"
Shen Boyan replied, "It's alright."
Sheng Yao asked, puzzled, "Then why did you think of coming to a bar for tea? Shouldn't you find a quiet place to drink tea?"
Shen Boyan stared at the teacup, the gently rippling water reflecting his dark and unfathomable eyes.
"There's no particular reason. I tend to overthink in quiet places, so this place is fine."
Sheng Yao didn't know what his mentality was, but since he liked it, all Sheng Yao could do was stay by his side.
However, just drinking tea felt a bit too monotonous, so Sheng Yao said, "Don't just drink tea, I'll go ask the waiter if they have any snacks or anything."
Sheng Yao came out of the private room, walked through the corridor, and heard someone making a phone call after only a few steps.
"Keep an eye on things, I'll be right there."
"What's there to be afraid of? Qin Ce is a member of the Qin family, so why shouldn't I be?"
The person making the call had their back to Sheng Yao, so she couldn't see what they looked like.
She heard the person's voice and unconsciously stood still for a moment.
Did she hear wrong? Did that person just mention Qin Ce's name?
Before Sheng Yao could figure it out, the person had already hung up and left.
Just then, a waiter came over, and Sheng Yao stopped thinking about it and went over to talk to the waiter.
Qin Ji left the bar, got into his car, took out his phone, and stared intently at the location displayed on it.
Suddenly, a phone call popped up on the screen; it was from Wang Yu.
Qin Ji frowned, his expression full of impatience. He didn't want to answer, but he had no choice.
"Where did you go?" Wang Yu asked on the phone.
Qin Ji casually lied, "I'm at the company."
"I've already called someone at the company, but you're not here."
Qin Ji asked irritably, "What's wrong?"
"Qin Ji, I'm reminding you one more time: don't do anything else behind my back. Your top priority right now is to find a way to get the board of directors to agree to let you join Qin's Group. Nothing else is as important as this, do you understand?"
