Chapter 21: Jealous?

Chapter 21: Jealous?

Qiao Xing was overjoyed and quickly said, "I'm free right now."

"That's great. I'll send you the address. Come to our company and we can talk."

"Okay." Qiao Xing didn't take the bus anymore; she took a taxi directly to the other party's company.

All she could think about was buying a house, especially after her cousin and Lily stayed up so late last night next door.

Qiao Xing just wanted to transfer the house ownership as soon as possible. Her uncle had raised enough money to buy the house so the young couple could move to the city.

The address sent by the business manager wasn't far, only a half-hour drive away. When she arrived, it was indeed a loan company.

I haven't heard of it much, but that person also mentioned that it's a bit difficult for her to get a loan from a bank; she can only get this kind of small loan, which means the interest rate will be higher.

Qiao Xing had previously checked online and found that microloan interest rates were indeed much higher, with the highest rate reaching 14%, but this person told him it was 9%.

The man who greeted Qiao Xing was in his thirties, tall and thin, and looked fairly kind.

After Qiao Xing went inside with him, he gave Qiao Xing several loan packages. Qiao Xing looked at them one by one. If there was collateral, the interest rate would generally be much lower, with the lowest being about the same as that of a bank.

However, she had no assets, so she only had one option: a 10% interest rate, and she could only borrow 50,000.

"So, Miss Qiao, would you like to consider taking out a loan? To be honest, with your qualifications, you can only borrow up to 50,000. You really can't get more than that. If you go to the bank, you probably won't even be able to get 10,000."

Qiao Xing was aware of this as well. She did a quick mental calculation: a loan of 50,000 yuan for a year would incur 5,000 yuan in interest, which she should be able to pay off with her current salary.

Qiao Xing gritted her teeth and nodded, "Okay."

The man grinned. "Alright, go print out your account statements, credit report, and a copy of your ID card. Let's go through the process."

"Okay." Qiao Xing thought for a moment and then asked, "How long will it take for this loan to be approved?"

The man smiled and said, "It will be very quick. As long as your information is approved, the loan will be disbursed in fifteen days. The information review takes about three to seven business days, so it will not take more than a month at most."

That means he could receive the money in as little as 20 days. Qiao Xing stood up and immediately went to the bank to print out his bank statements and credit report.

As she was operating the automated machine, Han Yan also happened to walk in to do his business. He glanced at Qiao Xing curiously, thought for a moment, and then walked over to her.

"Miss Qiao."

Qiao Xing was startled by the voice, turned around and saw it was him. "Oh, it's President Han. Are you here on business?"

Han Yan smiled and nodded, "Yes, what's this?"

"I... I also have something to take care of." Qiao Xing chuckled awkwardly, shifting her feet to block his view.

But Han Yan had already seen it; she was printing bank statements and had a credit report in her hand, so it wasn't hard to guess what she was up to.

Han Yan didn't ask any more questions. He smiled without saying a word, nodded to her, and went to the VIP reception room.

Qiao Xing breathed a sigh of relief after watching him leave. Once the documents were printed, she quickly ran out of the bank.

After Han Yan finished his business and came out, Qiao Xing was nowhere to be seen. He rubbed his chin and quickly returned to his car.

Han Yan drove to the company. It was the weekend, and there weren't many people at the company.

He went straight to the president's office, pushed open the door, and sure enough, he saw Qin Ce inside. However, the guy wasn't working; he was sleeping on the sofa.

Qin Ce lay on the sofa, his head covered by his suit jacket. His legs were too long to fit on the sofa, so one foot was on the ground.

Han Yan walked over and, without hesitation, lifted the coat off his head.

The blinding light entered his eyes, and Qin Ce subconsciously raised his hand to shield his eyes.

"Where did you go last night? You actually came here to sleep. Did your wife kick you out?" Han Yan teased him, and then sat down next to him.

After a while, Qin Ce sat up, supporting himself on the sofa. A few strands of hair fell down his forehead. He glanced at Han Yan.

What are you doing here?

Han Yan looked him up and down, then said, "Guess who I saw at the bank just now?"

"Not interested." Qin Ce took out a cigarette, put it in his mouth, tilted his head, and lit it.

Smoke floated between the two of them. The morning light outside was bright, streaming in through the transparent French windows and turning the thin layer of smoke golden.

“It’s Qiao Xing,” Han Yan said.

Qin Ce paused, then lifted his eyelids to look at Han Yan again. "You seem quite interested in her?"

Han Yan laughed without any hesitation: "Of course, after all, she's the woman who can win you over and even kick you out to sleep at the company, so I'm even more interested."

Qin Ce took a deep drag on his cigarette and exhaled a thick cloud of smoke, which curled upwards.

"If you're too idle, go back abroad. There's plenty of work for you there."

Han Yan's smile deepened. "Jealous?"

Qin Ce ignored him.

Han Yan said to himself, "I saw her getting her bank statements and credit report. Did you not give her living expenses? You even made your wife take out a loan. No wonder you were kicked out."

"What did you say? A loan?"

"Yeah, otherwise why would she print all that stuff? What kind of husband are you? If other people knew, they'd laugh their heads off!"

Qin Ce held a cigarette between his fingers, staring thoughtfully at the ground without saying a word.

He had already given her 200,000 yuan to buy a house, but she still took out a loan. Was it because she didn't have enough money, or was she trying to help her uncle?

He had observed her over the past few days and found that Qiao Xing was not the type of woman who spent money extravagantly. Her home contained almost no luxury goods or expensive cosmetics, and she even used inexpensive soap to take a bath.

Therefore, he did not believe that Qiao Xing took out a loan for his own use.

Then he thought of Lin Yu, or maybe he was spending the money on some other man.

The term "wild man" surprised even Qin Ce himself. He had actually categorized all the men who had come into contact with Qiao Xing, except for himself, as "wild men."

He then realized that this was the thought of a normal man.

"Hey, President Qin? What are you thinking about?" Han Yan patted him on the shoulder.

Qin Ce suddenly stood up, grabbed his coat, and left.

Qin Ce was driving along the road, seemingly carefree. He passed by the same coffee shop again, and on a whim, he turned his head to look.

Well, we actually saw the same scene as last time.

Qiao Xing and Lu Yan sat in the same spot.

Qiao Xing invited Lu Yan out this time not only to discuss Lin Yu's matter, but also to show him his loan contract.

Lu Yan carefully read through the contract, then looked at Qiao Xing with a complicated expression.

Qiao Xing's heart skipped a beat. "Senior... is there something wrong with this contract?"

"It's no use having problems now, you've already signed it, why didn't you ask me to come with you?"

Qiao Xing's expression also changed. "Really? I just didn't want to trouble you too much. If you hadn't called me just now, I wouldn't have dared to show it to you."

"But what exactly is wrong with you, senior?"
