Chapter 410 Arguing at the Company
My aunt said, "Why don't you ask Xiaoqin? I really don't know. Oh well, I have to go to work now."
After she finished speaking, she hung up the phone, grabbed her broom and shovel, and ran to the office to empty the trash cans for people.
"Oh dear, such good paper is being thrown away." He Fen saw the documents in the trash can, picked them up, and asked the female employee, "You don't want this anymore?"
Her female colleague glanced at her, her eyes filled with disgust. "We don't want it anymore. We already threw it in the trash. What's the point of bringing it back?"
"I see words written on it."
The female employee suppressed her anger and patiently said, "Auntie, not all written documents are important. Can't you just clean up your trash? Don't worry about these trivial things."
After saying that, he muttered to himself, "Mind your own business."
He Fen was an impatient person, and she got angry as soon as she heard this. She slammed the stack of waste paper on the female staff member's desk.
"What are you saying, girl? I'm worried you'll lose important documents and then come after me when you can't find them. What kind of attitude is this? You think I asked the wrong question?"
She has a loud voice, and when she shouts, the whole department can hear her, and other employees all look in her direction.
The female colleague's face instantly turned red, both from anger and embarrassment. Arguing with a cleaner was hardly a respectable thing to do, let alone being watched by so many people. She was incredibly angry.
She stood up, lowered her voice, and said through gritted teeth, "Can you please keep your voice down? I already said I don't want it, so why don't you just take it? What are you making a fuss about here? Other people have to go to work."
He Fen laughed angrily, "Weren't you so arrogant just now? That girl from before, she accidentally threw her documents in the trash can, and I picked them up for her. Then she came to cause trouble for me, and I almost had my salary docked."
"I just asked you a question, and you reacted like that to me? Do you office workers really think you're superior? Do you look down on us cleaners?"
The woman became agitated and suddenly raised her voice, "Don't make false accusations! When have I ever looked down on you? And look at you, you seem even more arrogant than me. What, did you get in through connections?"
"Hey, why can't I stand up for myself? You're a worker, and so am I. Neither of us should look down on the other. Look at how high your eyes were just now, and you still say you didn't look down on anyone?"
"you……"
"What's going on? What's all the noise about?"
When everyone turned around, they saw that it was Han Yan. Those who had been watching the show immediately looked away and continued with their work.
Han Yan had just been passing by when he heard such a loud argument inside. When he came in, he found out it was He Fen.
He knows He Fen; isn't she Qin Ce's wife's aunt?
Since she was able to work here, it's most likely related to Qin Ce.
The female employee's eyes were red from He Fen's scolding. She ran to Han Yan to complain, but He Fen looked disdainful, her nostrils flaring, as if she had done nothing wrong.
After listening, Han Yan nodded and said, "It's just a small matter, but what they did was right. Asking you was for your own good. If you had lost an important document, you might have lost your job, not only your salary but also your job."
When the female employee heard Han Yan speak up for He Fen, tears finally streamed down her face.
Han Yan added, "I remember the company has a rule that unwanted documents must be shredded. How come someone here still makes this kind of mistake?"
The female employee dared not speak.
Han Yan looked at He Fen and asked, "Auntie, when you were cleaning up the trash, what documents did you throw away without shredding them?"
He Fen became even more defiant. She hurriedly went to Han Yan's side to complain, "There are many more. I've seen it seven or eight times. In the next office and in this office, they don't smash it."
He Fen's gaze fell on the female employee again, thinking that her chance for revenge had come. "Her. Every time I come to collect the trash, her trash can is full of documents."
The female employee immediately became agitated. She cried and yelled at He Fen, "Don't slander me! I've only lost this once! You're clearly taking revenge for personal reasons."
He Fen curled her lip, looking arrogant as if to say, "What are you going to do about it?"
Han Yan was amused by her. He Fen could be annoying at times, but she hadn't done anything wrong.
Han Yan said, "Alright, let's leave it at that. I don't want to see this happen again. Go back to work."
The female employee glared at He Fen resentfully, and He Fen glared back without backing down, picked up her broom and left.
Following this incident, the company immediately issued another announcement stating that anyone who doesn't shred unwanted documents will be fined 500 yuan per instance.
As soon as the announcement was made, He Fen became the target of everyone's hatred at the company, and they all wanted to get rid of this meddlesome cleaner.
Unfortunately, she was just a cleaner, and ordinary methods wouldn't work.
So He Fen's workload suddenly and inexplicably increased after that, because one minute there was dirt here, the next minute someone spilled coffee.
The worst part is that some people even accused her of stealing.
The matter escalated, and eventually Qin Ce found out, but he chose to ignore it.
Soon, it was Qingming Festival. He Fen called Qiao Xing early in the morning and asked her and Qin Ce to come over for dinner.
Qiao Xing sat up in bed, picked up her phone and glanced at it; it was only seven o'clock.
The elderly are truly in good spirits.
She lay back down, but couldn't fall asleep; she heard noises outside.
He rolled over in bed a couple of times, threw off the covers and got out of bed. When he came out, he saw Qin Ce tidying up the room.
Qiao Xing looked at him blankly, "Qin Ce, isn't today a holiday?"
Qin Ce paused, put the things he was holding back in the wine cabinet, and asked, "Did I wake you up?"
"No, my aunt just called me. I couldn't sleep. How come you all have so much energy?"
Qiao Xing rubbed her eyes, walked weakly to the sofa and sat down. Feeling that she still couldn't hold on, she collapsed onto the sofa again.
Qin Ce saw her lying there, picked up a towel to wipe his hands, and sat down next to her.
She was wearing pajamas, and the buttons were fastened incorrectly.
Qin Ce noticed the extra hem of her dress and his obsessive-compulsive disorder kicked in. He reached out and unbuttoned her dress and buttoned it up again.
Qiao Xing grabbed his hand and stared at him with wide eyes.
Noticing the wariness in her eyes, Qin Ce paused for a moment before explaining, "The button is wrong."
Qiao Xing glanced down and realized she had indeed buttoned it wrong. She secretly breathed a sigh of relief and sat up again. "I... I can do it myself."
She turned her back, unbuttoned her clothes, and then buttoned them up again.
Halfway through, a pair of hands suddenly came around from behind and grasped her hands.
"I'll help you."
The man's breath tickled her ear, and Qiao Xing instantly got goosebumps. She knew this man was up to no good.
