Chapter 509 A Close Call
Xing Jiu looked at the two suspiciously. The little girl still looked blank, but the more she looked at her, the more she resembled the girl in the photo.
The woman ignored him and tried to leave with the little girl, but Xing Jiu stepped forward to stop her.
He looked frightening, and the woman almost thought he was about to attack her. Her face turned terrified. "You...you mustn't do anything rash! Hitting someone is against the law!"
Xing Jiu frowned, stared at the little girl for a long time, then pointed at the woman, "You know her?"
The little girl shook her head blankly.

Before she could even get into the car, Xing Jiu caught up, grabbed the woman's shoulder, and shoved her aside.
The woman staggered back two steps and sat down heavily on the ground, clutching her child.
The little girl in my arms was so frightened by the chaos around her that she burst into tears.
Just as Xing Jiu was about to step forward and snatch the child away, a tingling sensation shot straight to his head from his waist, and his whole body began to tremble uncontrollably.
A few seconds later, his eyes rolled back and he collapsed to the ground.
Security guards and other people surrounded him to check on him, and some even kicked him a couple of times to prevent him from jumping up.
The security guard put away his stun gun, let out a long breath, and reassured everyone, "Okay, the bad guy has been subdued, it's alright now, go call the police."
A woman in the crowd said, "We've already called the police, they'll be here soon."
No sooner had he finished speaking than someone shouted, "The police are here!"
Everyone turned around at once and saw that the police had indeed arrived. Not only the police, but also Qiao Xing and Qin Ce had come.
Everyone quickly made way for the police, and the security captain stepped forward and said, "Officers, you've come just in time! We've just subdued this criminal. Let's take him back to face the law!"
Qiao Xing looked over and saw Xing Jiu on the ground. She was shocked. "Xing Jiu!"
She rushed over, squatted down, and patted Xing Jiu's cheek. "Xing Jiu, what's wrong?"
The security guard was a bit confused. What was going on?

While everyone was still confused, Chenchen ran towards Gao Jin and hugged her leg, saying, "Mom."
When Gao Jin saw the child, she breathed a long sigh of relief, and tears welled up in her eyes again. She squatted down and touched the child's cheek, "Chenchen, are you alright?"
Chenchen shook her head.
"You scared your mother to death! Why did you run around like that?"
Chenchen pouted, looking like she was about to cry.
A policeman came over and reassured her, "We can talk about it when we get back. Someone just called the police here about a human trafficker. Could this be the person lying on the ground?"
The onlookers exchanged bewildered glances. The security captain stepped forward to explain, "Yes, we just heard that lady... wait, where did she go?"
The woman who was sitting on the ground just a moment ago has long since disappeared.
"Oh no, could that woman be the real human trafficker?"
Without a second thought, the police immediately gave chase.
A few minutes later, Xing Jiu, who was lying on the ground, slowly woke up and looked around blankly.
"Miss Qiao?"
A policeman came forward to inquire about the situation, and Xing Jiu explained what had just happened. Only then did everyone realize that they had misunderstood him.
"Sorry, bro, it's just that you look a bit..."

Qin Ce glanced at the mother and daughter over there and said indifferently, "She probably took action because she saw that she was alone and no one came looking for her."

Qiao Xing and Gao Jin sat down on the chairs. Gao Jin was holding Chenchen in her arms and thanked Qiao Xing more than ten times.
Qiao Xing patted the child's head. The little girl probably didn't know what had happened and still looked confused.
"Don't say thank you. I remember you said you live with your mother-in-law and her family. Why don't you leave the child with her when you go out?"
