Chapter 61 I Want to Talk to You

Chapter 61 I Want to Talk to You

Yang Han ran off halfway through the meal.

The remaining dishes were all left for Qiao Xing and Qin Ce. There were many dishes, but they were not enough to fill them up.

"Are you still hungry? Let's order a few more dishes," Qin Ce said.

Qiao Xing touched her nose sheepishly and said apologetically, "I don't have that much money left. Let's not order anymore. Let's go back and make some noodles."

Qin Ce twitched the corner of his mouth; what else could he say?

Qiao Xing called for the bill, but was told by the waiter that the bill had already been paid.

Qiao Xing was a little surprised. She glanced at Qin Ce and asked, "Did Yang Han pay the bill?"

"It should be."

Qiao Xing sighed, "Your friend is a really good person. We agreed that he would treat us, but he secretly paid the bill and even rented the house to us at such a low price. I feel more and more guilty about it."

"There's nothing to feel bad about. Let's go back." Qin Ce pulled her away from the restaurant.

If Yang Han heard this, he'd probably laugh his head off.

However, they were still not full after the meal, so they went back to Grandpa Qin's place and had noodles.

Although Grandpa Qin is old, he is not yet unable to take care of himself; he can cook for himself.

He had already eaten when the two arrived, but Qiao Xing made noodles, and he couldn't resist eating another bowl.

Grandpa Qin also took the opportunity to ask about the house.

Have you discussed it and decided where to buy a house?

Qiao Xing paused, glanced at Qin Ce, and wondered how to explain it to the old man.

Qin Ce didn't seem to care. He calmly said, "We're planning to rent a place. We've found one. Would you like to come live with us there?"

Grandpa Qin gave Qin Ce a strange look, then winked at him as if asking what he was up to.

Is he addicted to acting?

"Grandpa, this is my fault..."

Qiao Xing recounted the events in general terms, and after listening, Grandpa Qin fell silent.

This is indeed a difficult matter to comment on. If Qiao Xing hadn't lived at Wang Yue's house before, it would be much easier to handle. But after all, she has lived in his house for so many years.

Now that they want to live here, it would be unreasonable for her to disagree, and she'd probably be accused of being an ungrateful wretch by her aunt-in-law.

After thinking for a moment, Grandpa Qin said, "Alright, I don't think Lily is the type to compromise. She probably won't stay here for long before she buys a house in the city herself."

“You can rent a place outside, so you don’t have to put on a show with that family every day. It’s upsetting for me.”

Qiao Xing was relieved to see that the old man was so reasonable. It just goes to show that people are different.

"Grandpa, why don't you come and live with us over there? It's quite far from here, so it will save us the trouble of traveling back and forth."

The old man laughed and said, "Sure, Grandpa's fine with living anywhere. When are you moving in?"

Qin Ce said tomorrow, but I want to wait until the weekend; tomorrow is too rushed.

"Then you guys figure it out. I won't pack anymore. I'll just come with you when the time comes."

Qiao Xing nodded, and after confirming with her grandfather, she went back with Qin Ce.

When they got back, Lily and Wang Ye were still awake, watching TV and chatting on the sofa.

Qiao Xing heard Lily say, "I don't have any requirements for where I live; I just like lively places."

"It's great to have a lively atmosphere, I like it too." Wang Ye said, and when he saw Qiao Xing and Qin Ce come in, he quickly greeted them.

“Xingxing, you’ve come back just in time. Lily and I were discussing what furniture to add to the house. Do you have any suggestions?”

Qiao Xing said somewhat awkwardly, "Cousin, we...are planning to move out."

Upon hearing this, Wang Ye was stunned, and Lily was also stunned.

Lily grew anxious and stood up, asking, "Why are you moving out?"

Qiao Xing said, "There are too many people, it's inconvenient for you to stay. You two are married and newlyweds, it's better for you to have your own world."

Lily said, "Oh, what's with all this talk about newlyweds? We're an old married couple, why would we care about these things? Don't move out, it's much more lively if we all live together!"

Wang Ye chimed in, "Yeah, Xingxing, why are you spending all that money? Just live together."

Qiao Xing didn't know what to say for a moment, and if she continued, it would sound like she was looking down on them.

Qin Ce spoke up, "It's inconvenient for everyone, so it's better for us to live separately."

"What's inconvenient?" Lily's expression grew increasingly unpleasant; she was practically about to grab Qin Ce's leg.

Qiao Xing didn't know what Lily was so excited about. She had been making a fuss about buying a big house in the city and had even broken up with Wang Ye over the bride price.

Now she's suddenly changed her mind again, saying she won't buy the house and wants to live with everyone. Even Qiao Xing can't understand Lily's thoughts.

Qin Ce paused, looked at Lily expressionlessly, and then said, "Can you give me a reason why you want to live together?"

“I…” Lily couldn’t come up with a reason.

The only reason was that being close to the water gave her an advantage; she wanted to know Qin Ce's identity and whether he had any money.

I'm also curious to know if that Maybach is his, and why he pretended to be poor.

But whatever the reason, it's all beneficial to Lily. Thanks to Wang Ye and Qiao Xing's relationship, even if she can't become rich and powerful, she can at least be well-off.

"Can't you say it?" Qin Ce waited a few seconds, then decided not to waste any more words with Lily. "Then let's go back to our room."

Watching them return to their room, Lily stomped her feet anxiously. If they moved out, what would be the point of her living here?

Isn't that a classic case of trying to steal a chicken but losing the rice instead?

"Lily, why are you so angry? Let them move out if they want. Don't worry, I'll work hard to earn money, and then we'll buy a house in the city."

This time, Wang Ye learned his lesson and started making empty promises to Lili.

Lily taught him this, and he himself didn't understand why women liked to hear promises so much.

Lily glared at him fiercely, then turned and went back to her room, slamming the door shut. Wang Ye was stunned; he was increasingly confused.

What is Lily so angry about?

But when it got late at night, Lily came out again. She sat quietly on the sofa, waiting for Qin Ce to come out.

She didn't want to knock on the door, so she could only wait for him there. She didn't believe Qin Ce wouldn't come out to use the restroom!

Qin Ce indeed came out around one or two in the morning.

He was still wearing his shirt, without even changing his clothes. He was tall and had long legs, and his eyes were distant. He exuded an aura that kept strangers at bay.

"Qin Ce," Lily suddenly called out to him.

Qin Ce paused, turned to look at Lily, and saw that this woman was wearing such revealing pajamas that it was practically the same as not wearing anything at all.

She showed no regard for the other people in the house, including her future in-laws.

A hint of disgust flashed in Qin Ce's eyes. He didn't intend to pay any attention to her and started to walk towards the restroom.

Lily suddenly stood up and said, "I need to talk to you."

"We have nothing to talk about," Qin Ce said, slamming the bathroom door shut.

He went to the toilet, just about to relieve himself, when he turned his head and saw the figure outside the frosted glass door. Qin Ce's face instantly darkened.

He was silent for a moment, then fastened the belt he had just unbuckled, turned around and walked towards the door, pulling open the toilet door.
