Chapter 676 He Entrusted It to Me
Jiang Wang was still trying to figure out why Wang Ye was saying those things.
Wu Wei was already furious, yelling, "Shut the fuck up! I would never like Bai Yi in this life! That bitch! I wish she would die a horrible death in my next life, and the life after that!"
"Then why didn't you kill her when you first found her? Wu Wei, admit it, you've gone from hating Bai Yi to loving her. Your soft heart towards her is the best evidence."
Jiang Wang found it increasingly absurd, "Wang Ye, what exactly are you doing!"
Linlin is still in his hands. Instead of trying to get the child back, he's saying these illogical things!
Unexpectedly, Wang Ye kicked him without making a sound.
"Don't just stand there like an idiot, hurry up and say something! Distract him."
Jiang Wang was stunned. "What did I say?"
"Say whatever will make him angry."
Jiang Wang couldn't understand what Wang Ye was trying to do, but he had no other choice but to listen to him.
He knew Wang Ye was trying to provoke Wu Wei, so he mimicked Wang Ye's words and shouted at Wu Wei, "Wu Wei! Stop being stubborn! You do like Bai Yi, but you're afraid to admit it because she hurt you."
Wu Wei's face turned bright red, whether from anger or because their words had really touched a nerve.
He brandished the knife menacingly, pointing it at the two men and threatening them, "I'm warning you one last time! Shut your mouths, or I'll kill this child, you believe me!"
"I don't believe it." Wang Ye took two steps forward. "Bai Yi sacrificed almost her entire youth for this child, but whose child is it? It's yours, Wu Wei's. Bai Yi is paying the price for your mistakes. Wu Wei, put your hand on your conscience and ask yourself, have you done right by Bai Yi?"
"I'll say it again! Shut the hell up!"
Wu Wei was close to madness; his emotions were completely out of control.
Wang Ye added fuel to the fire, saying, "Did I hit a nerve and you're getting angry? Wu Wei, sometimes I really have to say, you're pathetic. You actually fell in love with a woman who ruined your life. Is there anyone more pathetic than you in this world?"
"Ah!" Wu Wei finally exploded, "I'll kill you!"
He lost his last shred of reason, holding a knife, and charged directly at Wang Ye.
Jiang Wang's eyes widened.
Even Linlin was frightened by Wu Wei's appearance and cried out, "Dad! Be careful!"
But to everyone's surprise, Wang Ye just stood there without making any move, as if he was waiting for Wu Wei to pounce on him.
Holy crap!
Jiang Wang watched as Wu Wei was about to stab Wang Ye with the knife in his hand, but he remained unmoved.
At the critical moment, Jiang Wang rushed forward and shoved Wu Wei aside.
However, despite Jiang Wang's quick movements, he was still a few seconds too slow. Although he didn't hurt Wang Ye, he accidentally scratched Jiang Wang's arm.
Bright red blood instantly flowed from Jiang Wang's arm. He clutched his arm and couldn't help but gasp.
Before he could even catch his breath, Jiang Wang saw Wu Wei pick up half a brick from the ground.
Ignoring the injury on his arm, he rushed over and kicked Wu Wei to the ground.
He pressed Wu Wei down with his knee, rendering him unable to move, while turning to Wang Ye and shouting, "What are you standing there for! Come and help!"
Wang Ye finally snapped out of his shock. He quickly went over and, together with Jiang Wang, found a rope and tied Wu Wei up.
Wu Wei was still cursing and saying that he was determined to kill Wang Ye.
Jiang Wang got a headache listening to this, and somehow found a piece of rag and stuffed it into Wu Wei's mouth.
Wu Wei couldn't speak, he could only sob incessantly, his eyes wide open as if he wanted to devour the two of them alive.
After subduing Wu Wei, Jiang Wang was panting heavily. He quickly found a clean place to sit down.
Wang Ye first checked whether Linlin was injured. He was relieved to see that Linlin was unharmed and mentally sound.
Jiang Wang's arm was still bleeding, and Wang Ye felt that this couldn't go on. "Don't sit there, I'll take you to the hospital first."
Jiang Wang didn't move. The wound wasn't deep, and a little blood wouldn't kill him.
He asked Wang Ye, utterly bewildered, "Are you fucking crazy? What kind of ridiculous plan did you come up with? You said a bunch of things I couldn't understand, just to get him to stab you in the back?"
Wang Ye glanced at Wu Wei and said, "He can't stab me. I'm just looking for a charge to put him in jail for a few years."
He said those things to deliberately provoke Wu Wei, so he was already mentally prepared when Wu Wei rushed over.
He wouldn't actually let Wu Wei stab him to death, but he would make sure Wu Wei's knife drew blood. Once it was proven that he had intentionally injured someone, it would be up to Wang Ye to decide how many years he would spend in prison.
Jiang Wang almost laughed in anger when he heard his plan. "How could you even think of that? Didn't you ever consider that? He's already in this state, do you really think he'd be afraid of going to jail?"
Although Jiang Wang is younger than Wang Ye, he has seen far more people and experienced far more than Wang Ye.
Putting aside everything else, just look at his circle of cronies. Which one of them hasn't been to the police station or served time in prison? Yet, how many of them have ever been truly afraid?
Even Jiang Wang, relying on his family's support, wasn't afraid of being sentenced even if he ended up in the police station one day.
They're not afraid of people like them, let alone Wu Wei.
Wang Ye rubbed his nose. "I didn't think that much about it. No matter what, this person is always a menace if he stays outside. Are we going to let him keep threatening Bai Yi like this?"
Jiang Wang looked at Wu Wei. Even with his hands restrained, Wu Wei's expression remained fierce and menacing, showing no remorse or fear whatsoever.
"Who said that? Someone like him would be lucky to be in the police station."
Wang Ye didn't understand. "What do you mean?"
"Never mind what I mean, just give him to me, and you take Linlin back."
Looking at the injury on his arm, Wang Ye felt a little guilty. "I'll take you to the hospital. It's my fault for what happened today. I was too naive. I'm sorry."
Just as Jiang Wang said he didn't need it, Wang Ye's phone rang. Bai Yi asked on the phone with mixed feelings, "Wang Ye, how are things over there? Where's Linlin?"
"It's alright, Linlin is fine too, you don't need to worry."
Wang Ye squatted down and handed the phone to Linlin, "Say something to your mother."
Linlin took the phone and said to Bai Yi on the other end, "Mom, I'm fine. I'm with Uncle now."
Bai Yi almost burst into tears when she heard Linlin's voice. She tried her best to control her emotions and said, "Okay, Mom will wait for you to come back."
