Chapter 710 What are you hiding from me?
Qiao Xing returned to her room, washed up, went to bed, and picked up her phone to call Qin Ce.
The phone rang twice and was quickly answered, "Qin Ce, you..."
Qiao Xing had only spoken halfway when she heard the person on the phone say, "Qiao Xing, it's me, Han Yan."
Qiao Xing was taken aback. "President Han? Why did you answer the phone?"
Han Yan coughed twice and said, "It's like this, Qin Ce had a meeting all night last night and was busy looking at projects during the day today. He just fell asleep in the lounge. I answered your call because I was afraid you would worry, so I told you."
Qiao Xing frowned, "Didn't you say things were almost done? How come it's still so busy?"
“This project is a bit complicated and will keep us busy for several months. Qin Ce was indeed supposed to come back a couple of days ago, but something else came up and he couldn’t get away. You know Qin Ce, he works non-stop when he gets busy.”

Qin Ce's original order to Xing Jiu was to stay by Qiao Xing's side no matter what.

But he hasn't called her back yet.
Did Han Yan forget to tell him, or was he busy and didn't have time to reply?
Grandpa Qin noticed she seemed a little distracted and asked, "Xingxing, what's wrong? You've been staring at your phone the whole time."

At this moment, Xing Jiu, who was standing at the door, said, "Madam, President Qin and the others went to the villa for a site inspection early this morning. They may have been in the mountains and the signal was bad, so they didn't call you back."

Qiao Xing smiled, her eyes narrowed. "This isn't just flattery. I'm with you now, and after the baby is born, he'll be with you too. Aren't you happy?"
Grandpa Qin seemed to already see Qiao Xing's child being born and babbling in his arms.
His smile deepened. "Great! Grandpa has been looking forward to your child being born. If I can live a few more years, I can spend more time with my child!"
Qiao Xing, worried that he might overthink things, quickly said, "You will definitely live to be a hundred!"
After breakfast, Qiao Xing asked Xing Jiu to take her to the Big Bad Wolf Company.
