Chapter 994 Rescue

Chapter 994 Rescue

As everyone talked, they all forgot the original purpose of the meeting.

Qin Liang remained silent throughout, looking at the people below and seriously speculating about the relationship between him and Qin Ce.

Some people think that he, as a father, is too afraid of Qin Ce, while others think that Qin Ce is not filial, and that he is a family member but insists on going against his father.

Some even speculated that Qin Ce might have something on Qin Liang that made Qin Liang back down in front of Qin Ce.

Qin Liang remained silent until his secretary finally couldn't take it anymore and quickly ended the meeting.

But who knew that as soon as Qin Liang stood up, he spat out a mouthful of blood.

His lips were ashen, and his hands gripping the table trembled uncontrollably.

Everyone in the conference room was stunned by this sudden scene.

However, before anyone could react, Qin Liang closed his eyes and fainted.

Chaos erupted in the meeting room, and Qin Liang was rushed to the hospital.

It just so happens that he was sent to the same hospital where Grandpa Qin was.

However, because no one notified Grandpa Qin, he was unaware that Qin Liang had been taken to the hospital for emergency treatment.

When Wang Yu and Qin Ji arrived at the hospital after hearing the news, Qin Liang was still undergoing emergency treatment.

Qin Ji watched the doctors and nurses going in and out, feeling uneasy. "Mom, could something have really happened to Dad?"

In contrast, Wang Yu appeared much calmer. She reassured Qin Ji, "No, you'll be fine. How could anything happen?"

It's unclear whether she was saying this to Qin Ji or to comfort herself.

In short, Qin Ji felt that there was something else behind her words.

After a while, the door to the emergency room opened, and the doctor came out.

Qin Ji quickly stepped forward and asked the doctor, "How is my dad?"

The doctor took off his mask and said, "The patient fainted due to a sudden surge of anger. There is no danger to his life; he will wake up in a little while."

Qin Ji asked the doctor, "Then why are you vomiting blood? Is there some illness that hasn't been diagnosed?"

The doctor said, "We'll have to wait for the specific test results to know, but I estimate it's not a big problem, so don't worry too much."

Qin Liang was still unconscious. He was transferred from the emergency room to a ward and then placed under observation.

Wang Yu said to Qin Ji, "Go and keep an eye on your father. I'll ask the doctor for more details about the situation."

"Okay, I understand."

Grandpa Qin was getting a little bored in the ward and originally wanted to play chess with some of the fellow patients he had met in the hospital.

Unexpectedly, I heard Wang Yu's voice as I passed by.

The office door wasn't closed completely; it was slightly ajar.

Although he could only see a back view, Grandpa Qin could still tell that the person speaking was Wang Yu.

"Mrs. Qin, this matter is too risky. I'm afraid that something might happen..."

"Just do as I say, don't worry about anything else, I won't let you lose your job."

After saying this, Wang Yu turned and left.

She had just come out of the office when she was startled by Grandpa Qin standing at the door.

She was indeed frightened, after all, she felt guilty.

But Wang Yu quickly composed herself. When she saw Grandpa Qin, her expression showed only a moment of surprise before she quickly returned to normal.

Then, he asked in surprise, "Dad, what are you doing here?"

Grandpa Qin casually said, "It's too stuffy in the ward, I came out for a walk."

Wang Yu glanced behind him and said worriedly, "Why didn't you have anyone follow you? Your health isn't good, you can't go on without someone with you."

Grandpa Qin smiled nonchalantly, "It's nothing. At my age, minor illnesses and ailments are perfectly normal."

After he finished speaking, he asked Wang Yu in confusion, "Why did you suddenly come to the hospital?"

Wang Yu looked hesitant, as if she was struggling with whether or not to tell Grandpa Qin.

Even if she didn't say anything, Grandpa Qin had already guessed seven or eight parts of it.

"Is something wrong with Qin Liang? Or has something happened to Xiao Fei?"

The old man's guess was absolutely accurate, correctly identifying both of them.

Wang Yu pursed her lips, nodded, and said, "It's Liang. He suddenly fainted at the company today."

Grandpa Qin asked in shock, "How could she suddenly faint? What did the doctor say?"

Wang Yu quickly explained, "Don't worry, the doctor said it's just because you were too anxious. It's probably because you're having trouble dealing with things at the company. The doctor has already done the tests and said there's no danger to your life. You just need to rest."

Upon hearing this, Grandpa Qin was relieved and said, "Take me there to take a look."

Wang Yu said worriedly, "Dad, Xiao Ji and I are with Liang. You're not in good health, so please don't go through all that trouble."

"It's alright, I'll go take a look."

Although Grandpa Qin has never liked Qin Liang's way of doing things, or what he did in the past.

But after all, he was his own son, and his only son. Naturally, he was worried when he heard that something had happened to his son.

Wang Yu couldn't persuade him otherwise, so she had no choice but to take him to Qin Liang's ward.

Qin Ji was standing guard at the door of the ward. When he saw Grandpa Qin, he immediately stood up and said, "Grandpa."

"Hmm," Grandpa Qin responded. "How's your father?"

"He's still not awake. The doctor said he'll wake up in a while."

Grandpa Qin stood at the door of the ward, his deep gaze filled with worry.

Time waits for no one. The young man who was once full of vigor and determined to make a name for himself is now almost fifty years old, having experienced half a lifetime of trials and tribulations.

After a long while, Grandpa Qin sighed.

He turned to Wang Yu and said, "Try not to let anyone in the company know. Suppress it if you can. Just tell the outside world that it was caused by overwork. Anyway, don't make people panic."

Before Wang Yu could speak, Qin Ji interjected, "Grandpa, don't worry, I've taken care of everything at the company. I've already arranged everything. I guarantee there won't be any problems at the company while my dad is in the hospital."

Grandpa Qin frowned slightly, seemingly somewhat dissatisfied with what Qin Ji had said.

However, he didn't show it too obviously. Instead, he said to Qin Ji, "Now that you're all grown up, it's only right that you share the burden with your father."

Wang Yu noticed the subtle changes in Grandpa Qin's expression, and she knew what he was thinking at that moment.

So she immediately said to Qin Ji with dissatisfaction, "Xiao Ji, there are so many people and so many things in the company. You are always so reckless. How can you handle the company's affairs? Don't talk nonsense."

Qin Ji was completely bewildered by Wang Yu's inexplicable reprimand.

His first instinct was to retort, "Mom, I..."

Wang Yu interrupted him, "Your top priority right now is to stay in the hospital and take good care of your father. You don't need to worry about anything else, understand?"
