Chapter 116: Does He Know How to Pursue Girls?
Qin Ce suddenly stopped, and Qiao Xing accidentally bumped into him, almost squashing the milk tea in her hand. Fortunately, she reacted quickly and took a step back in time.
She cautiously looked up at Qin Ce; his expression was unpredictable and quite strange.
"What’s wrong with you?"
Qin Ce put his phone in his pocket. "It's nothing."
He appeared calm, but his mind was in turmoil. With Joey's arrival, things became even more chaotic.

The two got off the bus at the vegetable market and went to buy groceries together, but Qin Ce was distracted the whole time.
After Qiao Xing finished buying the tomatoes, she turned around and found that Qin Ce had actually left.
She frowned, paused to watch for a while, and then realized that the guy had left with a strange woman.
The woman was dressed similarly to her, in a light green coat and jeans, with her hair in a ponytail. Qin Ce walked beside her, and when she stopped to buy groceries, he stopped as well, constantly looking down at his phone.
The girl was clearly aware that someone was following her. She glanced at Qin Ce suspiciously, but after seeing his appearance, she chose to remain silent and continued buying groceries and meat as usual, not caring what he was doing following her.

After leaving the market, the woman stood by the roadside waiting for a car, and Qin Ce habitually reached out to take the vegetables from her hands.

He tried again, but still couldn't pull it over. He finally realized something was wrong.
Qin Ce raised his eyes and met the gaze of the strange woman. The two stared at each other, and the atmosphere became inexplicably awkward.
"What, what do you want?" The woman looked at him strangely. Although he was quite handsome, she was already married... and he was still trying to chat her up.
She didn't show it on her face, but in her heart she was thinking, "If even a handsome guy like this is trying to chat me up, it seems I'm quite charming."
As the woman's mind wandered, Qin Ce loosened his grip, his expression somewhat unnatural. "Sorry, I mistook you for someone else."
The woman didn't believe her. "You've been following me since I entered the market, for almost half an hour. Are you sure you haven't mistaken me for someone else?"

As Qin Ce spoke, his eyes searched around for Qiao Xing's shadow, and sure enough, he found her standing not far behind him, suppressing a laugh as she looked at him.
Qiao Xing couldn't bear to watch him make a fool of himself any longer, so she quickly went up to the woman and said, "I'm sorry, miss, he probably mistook you for me."
The woman noticed that the two were dressed similarly, and then, with some skepticism, gave an "oh" before awkwardly getting into a passing taxi.

Qiao Xing laughed and said, "I just found out that you ran off with someone else."
Qin Ce twitched the corner of his mouth, then caught a glimpse of the cunning in her eyes. He'd be a fool to believe her.
This time, he didn't help Qiao Xing carry the groceries; he just walked on by himself.
Qiao Xing thought to himself, "What a petty person."
She followed after him carrying the groceries. She had bought enough for two days, so it was quite heavy. Qin Ce, that stingy guy, didn't help her carry any of the groceries all the way home.
"Grandpa, we're back."
The first thing Qiao Xing did upon returning home was to greet Grandpa Qin, as usual. Grandpa Qin then played with his pet parrot on the balcony.
This time it's different. There are two parrots in the cage, and Grandpa Qin actually found a girlfriend for Xiaoqiu!
Grandpa Qin glanced back at the two of them and asked, "Is everything settled?"
Qiao Xing put the dishes on the coffee table, rubbed her sore wrists, and nodded, saying, "Hmm, that's about it."
Grandpa Qin nodded, then turned his gaze to Qin Ce, "You little rascal, come here."
Looking at the two parrots in the old man's hands, Qin Ce had already guessed most of what was going on, so he said, "I have something to do, let's talk later."
Grandpa Qin asked sternly, "Are you coming or not?"

The old man immediately beamed with joy. He pointed to the newly bought frigate parrot in the cage and said, "I've been thinking about it all afternoon, but I haven't decided what to name it. Can you help me choose one?"

"Neither is good."
"Then what should we call it?"
"Let's call him Old Stubborn."
The old man's face immediately darkened. He glared at Qin Ce, and the next second, his expression changed, and he clutched his heart and cried out in pain.

Qin Ce looked away and glanced at the two parrots in the cage. He put a finger into the cage and tapped the parrots' heads.
Then, as if making up his mind, he said, "She treats me as..."
"When what?"
Qin Ce twitched the corner of his mouth, finding it hard to say what he was saying.
"Say it!" The old man poked him with his cane in his haste. Qin Ce stiffened slightly and turned to look at the old man, his eyes filled with resentment.
"She mistook me for a lesbian."

The old man was caught off guard by these words and his mind went blank for a moment. Thinking that this young man had never had a girlfriend in all these years, he asked, almost without thinking, "Then are you?"
Qin Ce's eyelids twitched; he was so angry he laughed.
Do I look like one?
The old man looked Qin Ce up and down carefully several times, his brows furrowed in a deep frown. After a long pause, he finally said, "I can't tell."
Qin Ce sighed, not wanting to get entangled with the old man. "Never mind."
Seeing that he was about to leave, the old man pulled him back, saying, "Wait a moment."
"Couldn't you have just explained it to her?"
She doesn't believe it.
The old man couldn't help but laugh. "She didn't believe you, and then what? You didn't say anything?"
"How else should we express it?"
"You're such a blockhead! Prove it to her, go after her, do you even know how to pursue a girl?"
"If you had used the same energy you would have spent working overtime on learning how to woo girls, I would have been holding my great-grandchildren by now."

The old man was amused by his words. He stared at Qin Ce incredulously, "Kid, you don't expect an old man like me to teach you how to woo a girl, do you?"
