Extra 32
Yang Jingyu's expression was rather unpleasant.
Qin Man turned her head and stared intently at him. "You can't cook?"
Yang Jingyu scratched his head and said hesitantly, "I only know how to make fried rice with eggs. I can make a little bit of other things too, but they're not very tasty."
Qin Man pouted, "Then you can make fried rice with eggs."
Yang Jingyu didn't really want to move; ordering takeout would have solved the problem, but he insisted on making things difficult for himself.
But since he was living under someone else's roof, he had no choice but to obey his master's arrangements.
He went downstairs to buy eggs and a bag of rice, then went into the kitchen to cook.
Qin Anning called him after get off work. He threw away the eggshell and answered the phone casually.
Qin Anning asked, "How was it? Did you have fun with Qin Man?"
"What's there to be happy about? I've been running around all day, and I still have to cook for her!"
Qin Anning laughed and said, "Then you can just not do it."
“That won’t do. She bought the house; she’s my landlord now.”
"Landlord? You've moved in together so soon?"
"More or less." Yang Jingyu told her the whole story.
Qin Anning suddenly realized, "I see. Then you'd better seize this opportunity. If she leaves, you won't have such a good chance again."
"What opportunity?"
"Haven't you always wanted to find a rich woman to keep you as a mistress?"
"I was just kidding!"
"Okay, okay, I know you're joking. You can continue cooking now, I won't bother you anymore."
Qin Anning hung up the phone and finally breathed a sigh of relief; someone had finally taken over the young lady's affairs.
She tidied up her desk and went to find Fu Yin to leave work.
But Fu Yin's office door was closed. Had he left work?
Qin Anning went to the front desk, but the receptionist was gone. She frowned and took out her phone to call Fu Yin.
Then, thinking that he might be busy with something else, I called the front desk again.
The call connected quickly, and Xiao Song's voice came through the phone, "Miss Qin."
"Xiao Song, when did Fu Yin leave?"
"Oh, Mr. Fu? He's meeting with a client, but he seems to have had a bit too much to drink. I was just about to call you. Please come and pick him up."
Qin Anning hung up the phone, quickly walked out of the office, hailed a taxi on the street, and headed straight for the address Xiao Song had given her.
Arriving at the entrance of the club, she paused, took a deep breath, and stepped inside.
Fu Yin was in a private room on the second floor. Xiao Song was standing at the door of the room waiting for her. When she saw Qin Anning, Xiao Song's expression lit up with joy.
"Miss Qin, Mr. Fu is inside."
Just as Qin Anning was about to push the door open and go in, Xiao Song hurriedly said, "The client is inside."
Qin Anning paused, then slowly lowered her hand. The door to the private room was tightly closed, and she couldn't see what was happening inside.
"How is he?"
"President Fu is fine. He's inside having drinks with President Ma. He should be out in a bit."
"Alright." Qin Anning didn't plan to go in and disturb him, but the fact that he came to a social event without telling her made Qin Anning feel inexplicably annoyed.
She and Xiao Song were chatting outside the door. "Xiao Song, did you go home for the Chinese New Year?"
Xiao Song answered truthfully, "Yes, I went back."
"Oh, then you must have been back at work quite early, right?"
"Yes, I came in my third year of junior high school."
Qin Anning continued, "So, when you're at the company, do you know what Fu Yin does every day?"
Xiao Song frowned and thought for a moment, "I work in an office. He took me to meet clients twice, but I don't know anything else."
Qin Anning nodded and didn't ask any more questions.
Although she trusted Fu Yin's character, her woman's intuition told her that Fu Yin was acting strangely.
As for what was strange about it, she couldn't quite put her finger on it.
An hour later, the door to the private room opened, and Fu Yin and two men in suits came out.
Both men were quite drunk and were being supported by two beautiful women.
The man mumbled something indistinctly, saying things like, "President Fu is young and promising; I've long thought he's a reliable person," and so on.
Fu Yin smiled and told him to slow down.
Supported by the beautiful woman, the two men staggered out of the private room, waving to Fu Yin as they went.
"Little Fu, next time... next time we'll drink again."
Fu Yin nodded, "It's a deal."
After the two had walked a distance, Fu Yin turned to look at Qin Anning and asked, "Why are you here?"
Qin Anning said, "Xiao Song said you were here, so I came. Are you alright?"
Just as Fu Yin was about to speak, his expression suddenly changed. He turned around, ran back to the private room, and rushed into the restroom.
Qin Anning hurriedly followed her in and saw a table full of empty wine bottles and a mess on the floor in the private room.
How much did they drink?
She went to the restroom. Fu Yin was holding the faucet in one hand and the sink in the other, his head hanging down, the water from the faucet running loudly.
Qin Anning opened her mouth, "Fu Yin..."
Fu Yin turned his head to look at her. The light from above fell on him, reflecting a bright light in his dark eyes. Qin Anning couldn't help but feel a flutter in her heart.
But the next second, he suddenly grabbed the sink and vomited.
Qin Anning looked at him, hesitant to speak.
After a while, he raised his hand, took a sip of water to wipe his mouth, and staggered back two steps as if he had lost all his strength.
Qin Anning stepped forward to support him, "Why did you drink so much?"
Fu Yin seemed to want to say something, but after moving his lips, he ultimately said nothing.
He staggered out, his body swaying unsteadily. Qin Anning couldn't support him and was even pulled down to the ground along with him.
However, when Qin Anning fell on him, Fu Yin became her soft spot.
Perhaps due to the alcohol numbing effect, Fu Yin hit the back of his head against the wall without any reaction.
Qin Anning was taken aback.
At this moment, Fu Yin was sitting on the ground with his back against the wall, and Qin Anning was sitting on his lap in an extremely ambiguous posture.
The two were very close, and Fu Yin gazed intently at her, his eyes somewhere between lucidity and dazedness.
He slowly raised his hand, his slender fingers landing on Qin Anning's face.
Qin Anning's body tensed, and her expression was somewhat unnatural. She forced herself to say, "It's late, let's go back first."
Fu Yin seemed not to hear her words, and continued to stare at her intently.
After a while, Fu Yin's slightly hoarse voice rang out, "Who exactly are you?"
Qin Anning's heart tightened, and she forced a smile to hide her panic. "What are you saying? You've had too much to drink."
Fu Yin suddenly chuckled.
He closed his eyes, tilted his head back slightly, and leaned against the wall.
He spoke softly, as if murmuring to himself, "I've found that the harder I try, the further away I get from you, as if I can never catch up."
Qin Anning's heart pounded wildly, and she felt an indescribable sense of panic.
"Fu Yin, what are you talking about? Come back with me now."
Fu Yin opened his eyes, stared straight at her, his voice even hoarser, "An Ning, I really, really can't bear to part with you."
Qin Anning's expression changed slightly, and her fingers clenched.
"What do you mean?"
