Extra 62

Extra 62

After speaking, Qin Anning became preoccupied again.

Qiao Xing turned to look at her, a hint of worry on her face. "Anning, what's wrong? You look unhappy."

Qin Anning hesitated, as if he wanted to say something but then stopped.

Qiao Xing shook his head helplessly, not pressing for further questions, and continued pushing the cart toward the seafood section.

She hadn't taken two steps when Qin Anning's voice came from behind her, "Mom, I broke up with my boyfriend."

Qiao Xing paused, then turned to look at her.

She wasn't surprised, because she already knew. From the moment she mentioned wanting to try starting her own business, Qin Ce had sensed something was wrong.

A secret investigation revealed that she and Fu Yin had indeed gotten into trouble.

However, neither she nor Qin Ce could say anything, because things were not as simple as they seemed.

Qiao Xing's expression was complicated. He opened his mouth, but the words he wanted to say turned into a sigh.

Are you sad?

Qin Anning raised her head, remained silent for a while, and then slowly shook her head, "I'm not sad anymore."

Qiao Xing smiled slightly, "It's okay as long as you're not sad. The fact that you two broke up just means you weren't meant to be. You have to believe that everything is preordained."

"I just feel that I have let you and Dad down."

Qiao Xing patted her head and said softly, "Why would you think that? You haven't let anyone down. You are yourself, you live for yourself, and as long as you don't regret it, that's enough."

"Your parents' only wish for you is that you are happy, healthy, and joyful. As for everything else, those are just your life experiences, so don't think about them too much."

Upon hearing this, Qin Anning couldn't help but feel a lump in her throat.

That's why she felt even more strongly that she had made the wrong choice and let her parents down.

"You're a grown woman now, please don't cry, there are so many people around."

Qin Anning sniffed, holding back her tears, and stubbornly said, "I didn't cry."

Qiao Xing smiled and said, "I was just saying. Okay, it's just a breakup. Who still has an ex? Just find someone better."

"Hmm." Qin Anning nodded. "Mom, speaking of which, how's your ex doing?"

Qiao Xing was stunned.

Qiao Xing could barely remember her ex.

"I don't know. I heard that he went back to his hometown after he was released from prison."

She had long since stopped caring about those things, but there were always some people who were unhappy about it.

After Lin Yu was released from prison, he couldn't find a job and was threatened, so he eventually returned to his hometown.

Then people spread rumors that he had been imprisoned for trafficking his girlfriend, which made it impossible for him to find a wife. Relatives shunned him, and friends cut ties with him. Especially after his parents passed away, he became completely alone.

If he's still alive now, he's probably one of the village's lonely widows and guardians.

Are you married?

"have no idea."

Qin Anning pursed her lips.

After saying it out loud, Qin Anning felt better.

She was most afraid of seeing disappointment in her parents' eyes, or of seeing concern and sympathy, but she didn't see any of that.

So, she felt a great sense of relief.

"How about you arrange a blind date for me?" Qin Anning said, blinking her eyes.

Qiao Xing looked at her suspiciously, "Why do you suddenly want to go on a blind date?"

"Didn't you and Dad meet through a blind date? So, what if I meet my soulmate through a blind date?"

Qiao Xing stared at her for a while, probably realizing she was in a playful mood, and smiled along.

"Sure, I'll arrange it for you later. What kind of person are you looking for?"

"I don't know, just arrange it randomly. We'll know what to expect when we see it."
