Extra 76

Extra 76

After arriving in Haishi, Yang Jingyu did not follow her around.

Qin Anning went to the company to handle some matters, while Yang Jingyu stayed in the apartment the whole time, and no one knew what he was busy with.

The headhunter found her two candidates, reviewed their information, and arranged a meeting time.

Her company was founded not long ago and is not considered a large company, so most capable people look down on it.

However, she borrowed the name of S&C, or rather, she could make the company a subsidiary of S&C at any time if she wanted to.

Therefore, with this gimmick, the two people the headhunter found were both exceptionally capable.

Each has its own advantages and areas of expertise; it all depends on Qin Anning's choice.

Qin Anning will be staying here for about a month. Yang Jingyu will not go to the company, and he will not be seen every time Qin Anning returns to the apartment.

After meeting the two candidates, she wanted to discuss things with Yang Jingyu, but she couldn't even find him.

She called Yang Jingyu, and as soon as the call connected, Qin Anning asked, "Where are you?"

"Um...that..." he stammered, and Qin Anning's eyelids twitched, feeling as if he had done something shameful.

"Why are you stammering? What have you been doing? I haven't seen you since you came to Haishi with me. Tell me the truth right now!"

"Oh dear!" Yang Jingyu seemed unable to withstand her questioning any longer and blurted out, "I'm in the capital."

After that, there was silence on the phone.

The most silent one was Qin Anning. After a long silence, she finally spoke, "So, you went to find Qin Man?"

"Um, I just wanted to ask her why she deleted me. How could someone be so petty..."

Before he could finish speaking, a familiar woman's voice came through the phone again, "Who are you calling stingy?"

Qin Anning twitched the corner of her mouth. "Okay, you guys have fun. It's fine now."

"Anning, is there something you need from me?"

"It's nothing. I just haven't seen you for so long, I thought you had disappeared. Also, if you don't plan to stay in Haishi any longer, take some time to come back and hand over your work. Oh, and bring Qin Man along too. You should finish what you start."

"Okay, I got it." Yang Jingyu readily agreed, his tone becoming much more cheerful.

Qin Anning scoffed and decisively hung up the phone.

Men are really stubborn.

She really thought he didn't care, but he secretly and eagerly went to find her without telling her.

Qin Anning was too lazy to discuss it with him anymore. She made her own decision: once the new general manager took office and explained the company's affairs, she could go back.

After waiting for about a week, the new manager came to report for duty.

He was a man in his thirties. He wasn't particularly good-looking, but he had a good presence and looked like a leader.

She brought the new manager and called a meeting with senior executives from several departments to introduce the new manager to everyone.

After that, I handed over my work to him.

This person didn't work for a financial company before, but he was very knowledgeable about finance and was an expert in the field.

Qin Anning immediately noticed his unruly nature. His reason for coming for the interview was that he wanted to try a different industry, as he was tired of his previous one.

Therefore, Qin Anning chose him.

As for Yang Jingyu, he dawdled and didn't arrive in Haishi until half a month later.

Qin Man was beside him, and the two looked much the same as before. Qin Man was still arrogant, while Yang Jingyu followed her around like a little follower, helping her carry her luggage, bag, water, and so on.

However, Qin Anning could still sense a subtle change in the relationship between the two.

Watching the two of them emerge from the airport exit, Qin Anning forced a smile and looked at them speechlessly.

Qin Man walked towards her with a smile, "Anning, it's been a long time."

"Haven't we only been apart for a month? You two, are you back together?"

Qin Man turned and glanced at Yang Jingyu, exchanging glances that carried a subtle atmosphere.

Qin Man said, "What do you mean by making up or not? We never had anything going on in the first place."

"oh."

Qin Man was worried that she would tease her, but seeing her lack of interest, Qin Man secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

"Oh, let's go eat first, I'm starving."

Qin Anning led the two to the parking lot, got them into the car, and then took them out for a meal.

After dropping them off at their apartment building, I made an excuse that I had something to do and didn't go upstairs with them.

Going up now would be like being a third wheel, wouldn't it?

She drove aimlessly around the city.

As I drove, I somehow ended up outside a familiar residential area.

She stared at the familiar gate of the residential compound, her expression momentarily dazed.

Qin Anning sat in the car, staring blankly in the direction of the residential area for more than two hours.

She suddenly opened the car door, got out, and walked into the residential area.

Arriving at the building I remember, the floor I remember, the door I remember.

He took out the key hidden in his bag and opened the door.

I don't know what I was thinking back then, but even though I moved out, I still renewed the rent for two whole years.

However, this was the first time she had returned here since moving out.

The place was empty; everything that needed to be packed away had been taken away, leaving only a mess of clutter on the floor.

The flowers on the balcony had long since withered, leaving only a flowerpot filled with soil and some weeds growing on it.

Qin Anning sat down on the sofa.

The room was pitch black, with outside light shining through the windows.

A few scattered voices could be heard outside, making the room seem even more desolate.

She didn't know how long she sat there before she fell asleep on the sofa.

I was woken up by a phone call this morning. When I picked it up, I saw it was Yang Jingyu calling.

Qin Anning answered the phone and asked her where she had gone so late at night.

"I'm at the hotel outside."

"Oh, I thought you went back."

Qin Anning said, "I've finished my business. Do you need my help? If not, I'll head back."

"No need, you can go back. I can handle it myself."

"good."

Qin Anning hung up the phone, leaned back on the sofa, and checked flight information on her phone.

She bought the nearest plane ticket, then got up, left the room, and called the landlord again.

She returned the apartment because the lease hadn't expired yet, and the landlord refused to return the deposit and the remaining rent.

Qin Anning said, "No need to return it. I'm just letting you know. Come over and pack your things when you have some free time."

The landlord's tone immediately softened, as if afraid she would change her mind, "Okay, okay, then I'll hire a cleaner this afternoon. I've recorded it, so don't come arguing with me again after I've rented the place out."

"No, if I contact you, just take the recording and sue me."

"Okay, then it's settled."

After hanging up the phone, Qin Anning glanced at the keys in her hand, tossed them inside, pulled the doorknob, and closed the door.
