"Sister, don't you like these eggs? Look how thin you've become..." Seeing Su Mei's unusual behavior, Su Li temporarily put aside her own emotions and showed concern for Su Mei again.
"No, I'm perfectly healthy," Su Mei said without offering any further explanation.
"Sigh, why do you always say that?" Su Li sighed silently, stood by the table, raised her hands, wiped them on the apron at her abdomen, looked at Su Mei, opened her mouth, swallowed, and continued, "Sister, based on my observations these past few days, I feel that this house and this boss are a bit strange. Haven't you ever had any doubts?"
Upon hearing this, Su Mei stood up, looked up at Su Li, whose eyes were gloomy and whose expression was strange and frightening.
"Slap!" A hand slammed on the table, making a crisp sound.
"We don't need to know too much about the boss's affairs, and we certainly can't question him casually," Su Mei said through gritted teeth. After saying this, she reached into her pocket and pulled out a strange skull-shaped can of beverage.
Su Mei's eyes lit up as she looked at the drink, ignoring Su Li, and she simply reached out and opened the lid...
"Sister, why are you drinking this again?" Su Li, who was standing opposite, reached out to snatch it away, but Su Mei dodged it.
Su Mei eagerly raised her head and gulped down her drink in no time. She plopped back down in her chair, smacked her lips, and looked quite satisfied.
This time, however, it was a bit strange. Although Su Mei was drinking heartily, Su Li did not smell any blood.
Isn't it the same drink?
"It's so delicious!" Turning around, Su Mei stuck out the tip of her tongue and swirled it halfway around the red liquid overflowing from the corner of her mouth.
Su Mei looked exactly like a wild beast greedily devouring its prey.
Su Li felt a chill run down her spine.
I thought to myself, "I have a feeling she's being controlled by something. How can I help her..."
“Sister,” Su Li didn’t know what to say for a moment. She stepped forward and walked to Su Mei’s side. “I think your health is really not good. Why don’t we move out of here and find a place to start over?”
"What did you say?" Upon hearing this, Su Mei turned her head, a dark mist flashing in her eyes. Although it was not obvious, Su Li noticed it at a glance.
“Let’s leave here and start over.” Su Li gritted her teeth, reached out to support Su Mei, and nodded solemnly.
"Leave here? You make it sound so easy. Do you want me dead?" A cold glint flashed in Su Mei's eyes. She suddenly raised her hand and slapped Su Li across the face.
The slap stunned Su Li.
"Why will I die if I leave here? Why did you hit me?" Su Li covered her face with her hands, looking at Su Mei with confusion.
It's just a sentence, why get so angry?
"I've wanted to hit you for a long time! Su Li, you're disappointing me more and more. I brought you out here so you could help me, not so you could arrange things for me. You don't know anything, so what right do you have to interfere in my life?" Su Mei said this with a hint of grievance. The ferocity in her eyes vanished miraculously, and tears streamed down her face as she blinked.
"Sister, what's wrong with you? Tell us and we'll..." At this moment, Su Li had a strange feeling that Su Mei was the only normal one at this moment.
However, when Su Li looked at her again, Su Mei reverted to her previous indifference. She raised her arm with trembling hands, and the velvet sleeve slipped down, revealing a bulging vein on her arm, as terrifying and bizarre as a snake.
