Chapter 139 Ye Sheng's Fearless Confrontation with a Thousand Buddhas

Nearly collapsing to the ground, Qianfo quickly braced himself against the edge of the stone chair. His face, pale and strange, was contorted in pain. After suppressing his breathing for a moment, Qianfo finally raised his head.

Turning to gaze at the flickering lamplight on the wall, his eyes held a strange and terrifying look—Crescent Moon, you wait, I will make your daughter pay double for the pain you inflicted on me…

That night three years ago, once again, irresistibly, popped into Qianfo's mind.

Night fell, everything was pitch black, and a torrential downpour brought howling winds and pattering rain that streamed down roads and along mountainsides...

Boom! A bolt of lightning struck from the sky, illuminating the roadside highway...

"Thousand Buddha, it really is you! What do you want?" A woman's voice rang out in the wind and rain.

In the flashes of lightning, a car was seen parked by the roadside. The door was open, and a woman with a slender figure was standing next to it, holding a floral umbrella.

Beside her stood a man dressed in blue, with a stern face and silver-rimmed glasses. The man appeared gentle and refined, yet in the raging rain, his eyes were sharp and his posture steadfast, displaying extraordinary composure.

With another thunderous flash, it became clear that not far from the car stood a tall, thin man with narrow eyes, long blond curly hair, and a high nose with heavy makeup. The man was wearing a black robe and holding a thick black iron chain, which he was swinging at the ground in front of him with a whooshing sound.

The man in black robes stared at the couple standing opposite him. "Heh heh!" he sneered. "Crescent Moon, I just don't understand what you were thinking. Why did you choose to marry such a mortal instead of someone as dashing and extraordinary as me?"

"Shut up! Ye Sheng's excellence is beyond your reach." Through the rain, the crescent moon, ten meters away, interrupted him.

"Hmph, your marriage to a human is a taboo. Since you're so ungrateful, I, Thousand Buddha, will punish you today." A bolt of lightning flashed overhead, highlighting the gloomy face of the man in black opposite him. "Crescent Moon, I'll give you one more chance. Leave this man and come with me!"

"Thousand Buddha, you have no right to separate us here," Crescent Moon said coldly, her voice filled with anger.

"You!" The chains trembled, and black mist appeared in Thousand Buddha's eyes. "You dare to be so insolent!"

"Don't bully women, come at me if you have a problem!" Ye Sheng reached out and pulled Yueya behind him, then stood in front of her with the umbrella in his hand.

"You?" Thousand Buddha was taken aback at first, but then he laughed loudly, "Hahaha!" He raised his head and said, "You mortal, you overestimate yourself and dare to stand in front of Crescent Moon. Do you know who we are? If you told us, your legs would probably go weak."

Qianfo glared coldly, raised his arm, and casually tossed the iron chain in his hand towards the wind and rain. A strange light appeared, and "crackling and popping!" echoed in the air, producing a series of terrifyingly crisp sounds.

"Hmph! I don't care who you are! I only know that I am a man and she is a woman, and a good man should protect the woman he loves," Ye Sheng's voice was not loud, but his eyes were firm and fearless. Even the thunder and lightning could not hide the resounding words and his heroic spirit.

"You? With your flesh and blood, I don't know who gave you the courage. If I wanted to crush you now, it would be as easy as crushing an ant." Seeing the other person holding hands, looking completely fearless, Qianfo's eyes bulged out of their sockets with hatred, and he was so angry that he felt like he was about to explode.
