Wan'er was already in tears. The little prince slowly lay back on the bed. His whole body was still shrouded in fluorescent light, like a sky full of stars, but it seemed even stronger.
The fluorescent light reflected onto the jade bed beneath him, and with a "buzzing" sound, the jade bed emitted a strange light, which shone brightly in harmony with the light of the spirit jade.
The fluorescence flowed in wave-like shapes, slowly circling the Little Prince, while the blood on the jade bed gradually disappeared…
All of this was so magical that Wan'er held her breath in awe. After a moment, as the fluorescent light dissipated, Wan'er took two steps forward and reached out to touch the little prince's body. The original coldness had subsided, and the little prince was now warm.
After a careful inspection, Wan'er could no longer find any wounds on the little prince's body.
Gradually, she felt his heartbeat become stronger. Overjoyed, Wan'er suppressed her excitement, bent down, and gently pried open his eyes with her fingers to examine his gaze. Although he was still motionless, his eyes were focused, and he seemed to have regained a lot of energy.
"That's wonderful!" Wan'er laughed until tears streamed down her face.
"The result is better than I expected. Now we just need to wait for his vital energy to repair itself, and there should be no problem." Grandpa Xiao walked over, nodded thoughtfully, and breathed a sigh of relief. "This piece of jade is really unusual. I have never seen such a treasure before. I have broadened my horizons today."
"Grandpa, I should thank you." Wan'er checked the little prince again before turning to Grandpa Xiao. "He's alright now, but I came to talk to you about something..."
"Let's sit down over there and talk. I knew you had something to say to me, otherwise you wouldn't have gone to so much trouble." Grandpa Xiao walked to the opposite side of the jade bed, where there was a round stone table with an antique-colored clay teapot and several teacups of the same color, upside down on the table. There was a stone chair on each side of the stone table. Grandpa Xiao sat down on the left, poured a cup of tea from the stone table, and pushed it towards Wan'er, who was already sitting on the other side. "Have a sip of tea first, and then we can talk slowly."
Wan'er picked up her teacup, lowered her head, and took a small sip. The tea was sweet, and it definitely tasted like spring water.
Wan'er took another sip, then put down the small cup, turned her head, and looked at Grandpa Xiao. "Grandpa, can you tell me how to distinguish between illusion and reality?"
"This isn't the reason you wanted to see me, is it?"
"Not entirely, I just wanted to ask." Wan'er shook her head and then nodded.
"Alright, it seems you're quite perceptive. You're the first person to ask me this question. Since we're destined to meet, I'll tell you. Actually, distinguishing illusions is quite easy. After all, no matter how sophisticated the illusion magic is, it can't recreate the original feel and atmosphere. So that's the difference. To distinguish illusions, you must observe with your heart, not with your eyes..."
"Use your heart, not your eyes!" Wan'er's gaze sharpened, lost in thought; her expression was very serious.
“The flowers in the illusion don’t have that natural, fresh fragrance, and neither does the water, just like this tea…” Grandpa Xiao propped his elbows on the table, swirled the teacup in his hand, took a deep sniff without revealing his true feelings, and stared intently at the tea in the cup.
“I think I understand now.” Wan’er looked around, closed her eyes, and took a deep breath. “This stone bench is real. I can smell the stone and the fragrance of earth. Your stove is fake because there’s no heat or choking smoke in the air…”
"Little Ye!" Grandpa Xiao nodded approvingly, "You're absolutely right, this stove is just for show..."
