"Uncle is right. Thank you for clearing up my confusion." Su Li turned her head, looked at Mercury, and a faint smile appeared on her lips.
Mercury looked up, raised an eyebrow, and met Su Li's gaze.
"You rest, I'll go out first." Su Li lowered her head, a blush spreading across her face, and turned to walk out the door. "I'll go cook for you."
"I'm going out too." Mercury said goodbye and followed Su Li out. "If you need any help, I'll help you..."
My uncle looked at Su Li a little strange today.
Wan'er turned and watched the two leave one after the other, letting out a deep sigh—Little Prince, where are you? Why haven't you come back yet…
Tears streamed down her face as Wan'er closed her eyes.
"That's strange!" Just then, Mercury's exclamation came from outside the door.
"What happened again?" Wan'er woke up with a start. She reached out and grabbed the edge of the bed, walked into the room, and immediately saw Mercury. She was squatting in front of the shoe cabinet by the living room door, pulling out the shoes one by one.
"What happened?" Wan'er asked, puzzled.
"My new shoes and the pajamas in my bedroom are gone." Mercury turned around, her eyes looking a little aggrieved. "These shoes were my favorite; I never even wanted to wear them."
"Is it really that serious? You probably put it in the wrong place." A mix of amusement and exasperation washed over her. Wan'er shook her head and pointed under the sofa. "See if it's there?"
"How is that possible? These shoes can't even fit under the sofa." Even though she answered that way, Mercury couldn't help herself. She got up, grabbed a flashlight, bent down, and peered under the sofa...
Feeling listless, Wan'er shook her head and went back to bed to lie down again.
After another search, they still couldn't find the clothes and shoes.
"That's strange. Nothing else is missing, but my shoes and clothes are gone..." Sitting cross-legged on the sofa, Mercury pondered for a while. Suddenly, her eyes lit up, and she held up a finger, gesturing in front of herself. "This is really strange. There was no thief. It's just that they stole a set of clothes and a pair of shoes. This is too unusual."
If it wasn't a thief, then there's only one explanation: someone just happened to want to wear it.
That's a creepy story. Wasn't I the only one home at the time? I was lying on the outer bed; it's impossible for me to have stolen my own clothes. That's strange. Who else would have wanted those clothes and taken my shoes...?
From sitting to lying down, staring at the ceiling, Mercury fell into deep thought...
"I know!" After at least ten minutes, Mercury suddenly became excited, sat up from the sofa, and pushed open Wan'er's bedroom door without a care in the world, waving her fingers excitedly. "I know who took my clothes and shoes, it must be him, that spirit cat!"
At this moment, Wan'er, feeling irritable, was just about to get up when she heard Mercury's words and her heart stirred. "You mean the Little Prince? But he's just a cat."
“Wan’er, listen to me,” Mercury’s eyes gleamed as he swallowed hard. “I have evidence. First, he’s not an ordinary cat; he’s a spirit cat, capable of transforming into human form at any moment. Second, you just returned the spirit jade to him, which is a treasure. With his spiritual energy condensed, he might actually transform into human form. Otherwise, think about who else would come to our house to wear clothes.”
However, his departure without explanation was truly excessive.
