Chapter 229 Decision to Take in Bai He and Bi Yu

"Pfft!" The chopsticks tilted, and several noodles shot towards the opposite side, almost hitting Biyu's elbow which was resting on the table, before landing on the table next to her.

"Yes, I'm sorry, little sister." Bai He apologized awkwardly, while Bi Yu just smiled.

"Pfft!" Su Li covered her mouth and chuckled, then grabbed a rag from the side and carefully wiped the noodles on the table into the trash can...

"You can't use it like that. Here, let me help you pick it up first." Wan'er walked over, took the chopsticks, and deftly moved her fingers, slightly retracting her fingertips, and the chopsticks steadily picked up the noodles. Wan'er lowered her head, blew on the noodles twice, and then turned the chopsticks to feed the noodles to Bai He...

"Bang!" Just then, the living room door was pushed open. "Hehehe!" A silly-looking fat man appeared in the doorway, squinting his eyes.

The visitor was Mercury, who seemed taken aback to see a guest in his home.

Biyu Baihe was startled and looked at him almost simultaneously.

He was rather large, wearing a tight-fitting cotton-padded jacket. Upon closer inspection, it became clear that the buttonholes on the blue jacket were not aligned, which explained its tightness.

Mercury's short hair was messy, and two strands of clear snot were still running from under her nose...

His eyes darted around, and he sniffed before heading straight for the dining table. Mercury was about to snatch the noodles from Biyu's hand when Biyu grabbed his wrist, her gaze suddenly turning cold as she shoved him back. "Pretend to be stupid!"

Mercury blinked, looked at the jade-white lotus, and uttered a "woo-li-wa-la."

"Stop pretending, they're all experts," Wan'er said to her uncle with a smile.

"Wow, amazing!" Mercury was taken aback, blinked, then reached out and tugged at her old clothes, pulled Wan'er along, and the two went to the kitchen. "They're just two little girls, why do you call them amazing?"

“They are very likely the same kind as the Little Prince’s master,” Wan’er said softly. “I’ve decided to take them in for now. There’s something I need to discuss with you. There’s an apartment next door for sale, and I’ve decided to buy it. But we’ll have to figure out how to get the money. What do you think?”

“Okay, actually we’ve been thinking about this issue because the recent expenses have been too high. So, Uncle and I went to check out the Water Palace. Maybe we can go back and find some money for you.” Mercury nodded.

"Where is Uncle?"

"He's right behind us, he'll be back soon."

"Alright then, we'll discuss the details later."

"Oh, we have guests?" The half-open living room door was pushed open again, and my great-uncle stood by the door with a kind face.

“They are two little girls.” Wan’er, who had already come out, explained to her uncle with a smile, “Here’s what happened. In the middle of winter, the two children were wearing sleeveless dresses, which was quite pitiful. Now that everyone is here, I want to announce something. Starting today, I have decided to take them in until they leave voluntarily.”

"What?" Bai He, who had finally managed to stuff a few noodles into her mouth, was shocked when she heard this. She turned around, exchanged a glance with Bi Yu, and took Bi Yu's hand, standing up together. "Sister, do you mean that we can be with you from now on?"

"Don't you want to?" Wan'er retorted.

"No, no," the two shook their heads repeatedly. "We were just wondering where we were going, this is wonderful! We felt so bad about it and were thinking about how to make it up to you, but you actually wanted to take us in. You're so kind, thank you so much!"
