Chapter 25 Su Mei Threatens Qian Fo

"But, but how long do you want me to keep an eye on you, Brother Qianfo?" Su Meijiao coaxed, reaching out her hands to cling to the man's neck. A hint of longing flickered in her round eyes, and her breathing became heavy.

"My little darling, what's the rush?" Qianfo stared at Su Mei, then suddenly cupped her face, pouted his thin lips, and pecked at her dry lips like a chicken pecking at rice. "Before anything can be successful, you always have to pay a price. As long as you listen to me, when the time is right, you won't need to work so hard."

“Every day I live in fear that she will find out. Brother Qianfo, aren’t you very capable? Why can’t you find out for yourself? Why do I have to stay by her side in fear?” Su Mei was a little angry. She looked around at everything. Deep down, she really didn’t want to leave this palace-like living environment.

"My little darling, a woman shouldn't be too greedy." Seemingly seeing through Su Mei's thoughts, a glint of green light flashed in Qian Fo's eyes. He raised his finger to lift Su Mei's chin, bringing his face closer. "Your husband does have some skills, but things aren't that simple. The other party is hiding their true abilities and is extremely cunning. To be honest, if I hadn't been injured a few years ago, do you think you would still be of any use to me?"

"So you were just using me?" Looking at the face that seemed to have suddenly grown larger, Su Mei's heart began to pound.

"So what if you're being used? Human relationships are all about mutual exploitation, so why make it so obvious? As long as you behave, all of this will be yours." Thousand Buddha smiled knowingly, his expression dismissive. He raised his right arm, turned around, and pointed to the various expensive decorations in the room. "Look at these. Any one of them could be worshipped by the world. Aren't you satisfied?"

It's a pity you've never let me take it out. What's the use of hiding it here where no one can see it? Surrounded by golden light, Su Mei felt dizzy again—but if these things became mine, I could do whatever I wanted with them, and then I wouldn't need to please you anymore…

In a daze, her mind started working again. Su Mei shyly twisted her body and snuggled deeper into the other's embrace. "Qianfo, of course I know you're good to me. I'm just concerned about you. You said you were injured, but I didn't see any wounds on you. Are you lying to me?"

"Believe it or not, I suffered internal injuries. How could you tell?" With his arms wrapped around Su Mei, Qianfo slowly closed his eyes.

"Then tell me, where exactly are you hurt?" Su Mei wriggled her body, raised her head, and reached out to grab his collar. "I've known you for almost three years, and no matter how cold or hot it is, you always wear such a high collar. Is your neck injured? Perhaps..."

At this point, Su Mei exerted force and tried to tear off his collar.

"I think you've been spoiled rotten!" Qianfo suddenly opened his eyes, grabbed Su Mei's arm, threw her onto the bedside, and quickly got up and stood by the bed with his hands on his hips and his back to Su Mei. "Knowing too much about some things is not necessarily a good thing. Don't ask about things you shouldn't ask."

"How can you say that? I'm truly sincere towards you. There shouldn't be any secrets between us. If you don't tell me, I'll tell her about you asking me to spy on her." For some reason, Su Mei gritted her teeth and suddenly threatened Qian Fo.
