"Plop!" With a loud crash, the pile of sawdust collapsed, and the crabs crawled out one by one. They shook off the sawdust, turned around, and without looking back, retraced their steps back to the mountain stream...
A large gap appeared in the tree stump, and a strange light shone faintly in front of it. A turtle with its small head raised appeared in the middle of the tree hole. Its shell was about the size of an adult's palm.
However, there were five dots on the turtle's shell, resembling an open flower, and each petal was a different color.
At first glance, it looks like a flower, but upon closer inspection, it is deeply embedded in the shell, as if it had been carved.
The faint light that appears is emitted by these flower spots.
"Golden Boy and Jade Girl, save me! Why are you both acting like idiots?" The little turtle raised its head, its small mouth slightly open, and surprisingly, it revealed the identities of the two people. However, its small body still could not move.
"Okay, we'll save you now." Knowing something was wrong, Tian Tian looked down and saw a tree covered with thick thorns, each at least an inch long. Several of them were sticking out of the tree stump and stuck in the little turtle's protruding leg. A trickle of blood had already congealed on his short leg.
"That's strange, little turtle, how did you get into this cave?" Wan'er shook her head.
"It was a strange wind that blew me here." The little turtle blinked, and a tear rolled down its cheek. "Jade Maiden, every movement I make is like a knife piercing my heart, alas!"
"Wait." Tian Tian was about to reach out to remove the thorns.
"Let me blow it," Xiao Wan'er stopped him. She took a few steps, squatted down to the side, and breathed out fragrant air. Her breath was so close to the terrifying spikes that it seemed to hit them directly. She exhaled puffs of hot air, and faint red light appeared, like tiny flames, rushing towards the spikes protruding from her thighs…
As if it had been baked to a crisp, after a moment, the long, layered spikes began to turn into a wisp of steam and gradually disappeared...
"Alright, you can try it and see if you can walk." After a moment, Wan'er stopped blowing on the air, breathed a sigh of relief, clapped her hands, and stood up.
"Can...can I move now?" The little turtle moved its front claws, but still dared not move its back.
“It’s okay, give it a try.” Tian Tian nodded from the side. “Since Sister Wan’er says it’s okay, then it will definitely work.”
"Okay, I'll give it a try." The dragon turtle shook its body and carefully lifted its foot. Sure enough, it moved smoothly without any stinging sensation.
The little turtle was relieved and quickly lifted its other leg to move forward. Although it crawled a little slowly, the little turtle still managed to climb out of the tree stump in no time.
"Thank you, you saved me." The little turtle shook the faint light emanating from its body, nodding its head to Wan'er and Tiantian in gratitude.
"You're welcome, we should head back now." It was getting darker and darker, and the road was becoming increasingly difficult to see in the dense jungle.
"Goodbye, let me watch you go." The little turtle turned around and watched his benefactors walk away until they disappeared at the end of the road before turning back.
His eyes darted forward, and there he saw the large crab that had just left, now looking back at the little turtle.
"Thank you, Brother Crab," the little turtle said. "Are you waiting here because you have something to say?"
"Hmm!" The crab seemed to nod as well, its red feathers glowing red in the shadows.
"Oh, I see, you are..."
