"Get out! Who let you in?" September glared angrily at Wan'er.
"Who are you? Why did you kidnap my little prince, Mo Tian?" Wan'er sneered, stretching one hand forward instead of retreating. "Give him back to me and I'll leave."
"Your Mo Tian? Bah, shameless!" September turned her head and spat on the ground. The sharp edge in her eyes was aimed at Wan'er. A hand slowly emerged from behind her back, and there seemed to be something in her palm.
"Who are you calling shameless?" A red light appeared, and Wan'er raised her hand, spiritual power already gathering in it...
The two were locked in a tense standoff when Jiu Yue's eyes sharpened. Suddenly, she raised her hand, and a buzzing sound filled the air. A dense swarm of flying insects appeared in the cave, swarming towards Wan'er...
"A mere trick!" Wan'er flicked her finger, and a red net appeared, rapidly expanding as the small insects that touched it vanished instantly.
"How...how do you know my family's illusion magic?" September asked in confusion.
"Yours?" Now it was Wan'er's turn to be curious. She took a step closer and stared at Jiu Yue. Although her appearance had changed, those eyes...
Could it be her?
"Tell me, how do you know my dad's trick? His insect-swallowing technique is specifically designed to deal with me." September shook her head, feeling a chill in her heart. She couldn't believe that her father would send someone to deal with her.
"So you are Master's daughter, Qiao Mei!" Wan'er was very surprised to see Qiao Mei looking completely different, but she was also happy for her. She softened her tone and said, "You've become quite beautiful now. That's wonderful."
"Hmph! Whether I'm pretty or not is none of my business," September sneered after her initial surprise. "I never imagined my dad would take you as his apprentice, and even teach you techniques specifically to deal with me!"
"He gave me a part of the Illusionary Spirit, and then I had to figure it out myself. Even if I mastered it, so what? You misunderstood Master..." The girl before her, though pretty and clear-headed, no longer the foolish girl she once was, now looked at her with a clear hint of hostility. Wan'er sighed softly, "Besides, what do you mean by 'dealing with you'? Master was just afraid you'd cause trouble. I promised Master I'd take good care of you in the future, but you can't keep Mo Tian away; he needs proper treatment..."
"Pah! You're the one who ruined him, and you're still pretending to be a good person. Everything about Mo Tian from now on has nothing to do with you." September was unconvinced. She turned slightly to the side and slowly walked towards the cave entrance from the other side of the wall. "I can cure him just the same way, as long as you stay far away from us."
“No, you don’t know, you don’t know how serious it is.” Wan’er also stepped forward.
"If you won't leave, I will." Seeing Wan'er closing in on her step by step, Jiu Yue suddenly rushed towards the cave entrance...
"Give him to me!" Wan'er raised her arm, and a ray of strange light wrapped around Jiu Yue, like a rope, instantly binding Jiu Yue's shoulder. The foot that had just stepped out of the cave was pulled back.
"Let us go." September turned to the side, looking back at Wan'er, her eyes bloodshot.
"Give him to me!" Wan'er frowned, her fingers tightening their grip. "I won't let go."
“I think it’s better,” September said, glancing at Mo Tian who was still in her arms, her eyes darting around as she made up her mind, “to let him decide for himself.”
"Himself?" Wan'er was taken aback when she heard this. Mo Tian's vital energy was damaged. Could he still make his own decisions?
