Chapter 375 Su Li is no longer composed

"Blood poison? What is that?" Su Li was taken aback.

“It’s a kind of poisonous gas inside the demon’s body that can be spread through the blood,” Li’er’s father said, then he was startled. He seemed to have thought of something, and a sudden pang of heartache made him bend over. Li’er’s father raised his hand to his chest and frowned.

Su Li blinked, and after a moment, she seemed to understand what her father was implying.

"You're overthinking it. I heard that ever since he practiced that evil art, he can no longer..." At this point, Su Li subconsciously raised her hand and looked down at her wrist.

"Did you," the father looked up, swallowing hard, "have your blood sucked by him?"

“I,” Li’er’s eyes darted away, and she pulled her left arm back slightly.

Her father stepped forward, grabbed her hand as she tried to pull it back, and lifted Su Li's sleeve. He immediately saw a frightening, deep tooth mark on her wrist. The mark had just scabbed over, but there were layers upon layers of blood, one new and one old, which looked quite terrifying.

"My poor child." Upon hearing this, the father, who had been trying to remain calm, could no longer hold back his tears. He ran his fingers over Su Li's wound, but so gently that he was afraid of hurting her.

"Hmph! Don't pretend to be compassionate, I'm not in pain right now." Seeing her father cry, Su Li, who was never usually annoyed, suddenly felt a surge of anger. She glared at him, forcefully shoved him away with her right arm, turned around, and hurriedly took a few steps forward, her back to him. "You think I'll believe you just because you spout some nonsense? I... I think you're just pretending to be related here. Who knows what kind of scheme you're plotting?"

Su Li's words stung her father's heart. He took two steps back, raised his head, and his lips trembled so much they turned purple.

"How could you do this?" September couldn't stand it anymore.

Li'er's father raised his hand to stop her. "Child, I didn't lie to you. I came here with Lord Firebird's permission. He told me to tell you that it's time..."

"Hmph! Get lost!" Su Li suddenly turned around, flicked her arm, and black clouds surged in her hand as she hurled them towards her father behind her.

A soft "Ah..." was heard from behind, but the sound quickly faded away.

At the same time, Su Li grabbed September with her other hand and dragged her back the way they came...

"Hey, how can you be so heartless? She's your father! How could you send her back like that..." September was not only disappointed in Su Li's behavior, but also felt a sense of utter wickedness. "It was one thing not knowing her identity before, but now that you know, how can you still treat your father like this..."

“I don’t need your lectures, Grandma,” two beams of red light quickly returned to the stone cave. Su Li raised her hand and pushed Jiu Yue away, and a ray of red light immediately passed through the black pool…

"No, I don't have a father, he's a bad man! Hahaha!" Su Li laughed loudly, and a red light dissipated. Su Li, who was lying on the bed, suddenly opened her eyes and realized that she was still in the cave.

She sat up, feeling a chill all over her body. The thin quilt covering her had already fallen off the bed. Su Li was no longer sleepy. Her eyelashes fluttered, and there was something wet in the corner of her eyes. She stretched out her finger and curiously pressed it against her cheek. Her fingertip was wet. Su Li put her finger to her lips and licked it. Tears really are salty. How come I never knew before?

Getting out of bed, feeling inexplicably uneasy, Su Li strode out of the cave entrance.

Everything looked the same as before, yet this familiar cave seemed different from usual...
