Chapter 42 The giant baboon that rowed the iron boat was a human.

The cave was dark and damp, and a faint light, from who-knows-where, illuminated the surrounding environment.

I thought we had arrived at our destination, but when I looked around, it was still quiet and deserted. There was no one in sight, and it didn't look like a bustling market at all.

Not far away, shimmering water, lay an underground river stretching east to west, just a hundred meters ahead. The river, at least a hundred meters wide, flowed from south to north, rushing and gushing through the entire bottom of the cave.

On both sides of the river stood stone pillars of varying sizes. Crocodile Brother led Lin Fang forward, crossing a sandy path less than a meter wide, and stepped onto a huge rock lying flat on the ground not far from the riverbank.

Looking across the river from this side, the water is very clear and occasionally feels cool. High waves occasionally surge up on the surface, splashing and slapping, indicating the river is quite deep.

"The bright moon rises over the sea, and we share this moment though we are far apart." Crocodile Bro, standing by the river, suddenly opened his mouth and recited a line of poetry in a refined manner, his voice echoing in the cave.

About three seconds later, three circles of light appeared in the direction to the right front. Seeing this, Crocodile Bro immediately perked up, quickly turned on his flashlight, and drew three circles of light in the corresponding direction...

Then he put away the flashlight and waited there quietly.

A dark shadow appeared on the opposite bank of the river, followed by the sound of oars splashing in the water as a small boat approached. A shadowy figure bent over at one end of the boat, rowing vigorously as it drew closer.

A moment later, the small boat came to a steady stop less than two meters from the shore. With the help of her flashlight, Lin Fang could finally see clearly...

The man before them was short in stature but broad-shouldered and burly, with exceptionally long arms, resembling a large, adult baboon. The baboon bent down, used its long arms to scoop up an iron fork from the small boat, and flung it towards the riverbank not far from Lin Fang. With a loud "thud!", the fork sank into the sandy riverbank.

A thick rope was firmly tied to the small boat. The baboon pulled the rope back with all its might, and the small boat was steadily moored to the shore...

"Waaaah..." The big baboon stood at one end, opened its mouth wide, and made a few loud, wailing noises.

"Let's go!" Crocodile Brother turned to the side, stretched out a hand, and prepared to lead Lin Fang over.

"I'm scared," Lin Fang gasped as she looked at the baboon's menacing appearance. It was the first time in her life she had been to such a strange place, and she felt her teeth chattering.

"What's there to be afraid of? He's a human, not a baboon."

"A human?" Lin Fang could hardly believe it! Except for its eyes, nose, and lips, the person in front of her was covered in dark hair. It was unbelievable that such a strange person wasn't a baboon.

"Don't hesitate, time is of the essence. Even if I don't buy or sell anything, every time I come here, it will cost me ten thousand yuan a night. This is no joke." As Crocodile Brother said this, he glanced back at Lin Fang. A strange look flashed across his eyes as he opened and closed them.

"What? Ten thousand for just one tour?" Lin Fang's eyes widened in surprise. Seeing that Crocodile Brother ignored her, she looked back at the dark cave and had no choice but to quickly reach out her hand to him...

As soon as Lin Fang jumped onto the small boat, "clang!" The soles of her shoes hit the boat. Lin Fang looked down and realized that this seemingly ordinary boat was actually made of refined iron.

Standing in the small boat, I could feel the rapid current below. However, the baboon's arm strength was astonishing, and its rowing skills were excellent. The seemingly heavy iron boat moved like an arrow, circling the river's rocks and quickly reaching the other side…
