My uncle said that we should discuss everything when we meet.
Who could it be? How could they see Mom and Dad?
Now the cemetery has been bombed, and the remains are nowhere to be found; all of this is very strange.
Could what happened three years ago be fake? Isn't that absurd? Or was it just a farce, with someone using this incident to their advantage?
But my third uncle isn't one to easily believe things; he doesn't readily accept what others say. If even my uncle believes it, it must be true, which is the strange thing about this whole affair. So, no matter what, I have to go and find out.
Her heart was racing, and Wan'er's face flushed red. She took a deep breath and exhaled slowly.
Shaking her head, then nodding, Wan'er looked up at the blue sky, two streams of tears streaming down her pretty face. "Mom and Dad, if only you were both here! Your daughter would never be alone again..."
A sliver of the setting sun hung in the sky; it would soon be dark. There was only one last bus to the countryside; I had to hurry and leave without delay.
Hmm, the Little Prince hasn't come back yet. Where did he go? Maybe he's already home. I'll go back and pack up, and wait for the Little Prince to come back so we can go together.
Unable to contain her emotions, Wan'er wiped away her tears and turned to leave...
Meanwhile, the little prince followed closely behind Sumi.
There's a public restroom ahead. This woman went into the women's restroom, and Wan'er isn't there. I can't very well follow her in, can I?
Someone else is coming. I have to hide to the side. With a "whoosh!" the little prince hid behind a tree.
However, after several people came and went, Su Mei never reappeared.
Something seems off.
"Ah!" Just then, a scream came from inside the toilet.
"This toilet is really something, with doors at both ends. It gave me quite a fright just now." Two women ran out of the toilet one after the other in a panic, the one who screamed was the woman in front.
So that's how it is. I've been waiting for nothing; it seems I've lost them. The little prince sighed. "I'd better go back soon, so Wan'er won't worry."
"Whoosh!" The little prince ran out from behind the tree.
"Ah!" The woman in front screamed again when she saw a flash of blue.
She pointed ahead, and with her other hand, she grabbed the woman's arm and shook it vigorously. "Did you see that? I think I saw a blue one..."
"You're always so easily startled, you must be seeing things..." The woman next to her said angrily, hitting the woman's arm. The two hurriedly walked towards the roadside.
Meanwhile, the little prince had already run home quickly through a less crowded area.
The door was ajar, and Wan'er, dressed in a casual fleece outfit and carrying a large denim bag, was waiting for him.
"Oh, my little prince, you're finally back." Upon seeing the little prince, Wan'er's anxious eyes calmed down, and she quickly took a few steps back into the living room.
First, I took off my backpack and unzipped it. There wasn't much in the bag except for a thick old cotton-padded coat and two open bags of snacks next to it.
Wan'er put her backpack on the coffee table, bent down to pick up the little prince at her feet, and gently put him into the backpack. Then she said to the little prince, "Stay here and don't attract attention. You can hide when the time is right. I'm taking you back to the countryside now. We'll rest there tonight and go back tomorrow."
"Meow!" The little prince opened his mouth and meowed softly, nodding in agreement.
"Let's go then." Wan'er zipped up her jacket, hoisted the little prince onto her back, checked her keys, and then ran downstairs...
