"Uncle, what are you doing?" Startled by Mercury, Wan'er immediately raised her voice.
"I'll send you into the water." Mercury replied coldly, her face expressionless, increasing the pressure on her hand, her gaze fixed on the vast sea. "Are you ready?"
"Ready." Wan'er nodded, her pretty face serious.
Mercury lifted her foot, braving the cold wind, and grabbed Wan'er's arm, running forward like the wind. Soon, their toes were a foot off the ground, reaching the water's edge...
The waves splashed onto them.
This Mercury, which looks clumsy and heavy, is surprisingly a whirlwind when it runs. The first time she'd seen it move so fast, the sound of the wind piercing her eardrums, Wan'er's heart leaped into her throat.
"Go!" Just as she was about to enter the water, her uncle forcefully flung his hand away, and Wan'er broke free from his grasp, soaring into the waves like an arrow released from a bow.
Mercury itself began to retreat, flowing back to the great coastline.
In an instant, the waves lifted Wan'er's body to the crest, and Wan'er danced on the sea like a graceful fairy...
Wan'er, I will be watching you from the most advantageous position.
"Meow!" The little prince meowed at Wan'er on the water, then grabbed his clothes, turned around, and ran quickly towards a pile of rocks on the shore...
"Wan'er, success is within reach!" Mercury's voice echoed across the sea, drowning out the waves.
Now at least a hundred meters from the shore, facing the dark, unknown water beneath her feet, Wan'er, despite her naturally bold nature, was still somewhat terrified, her eyes gleaming.
Let's get in the water from here!
Wan'er raised her arms, about to plunge headfirst into the waves.
"Glug glug!" The water beneath my feet was boiling, and just then, my previously steady body suddenly began to sway violently.
Wan'er was losing her composure and wanted to jump into the water, but suddenly found that her body could not sink. Instead, the wave beneath her feet was pushing her, rapidly rotating and moving towards the center of the bay. As Wan'er was swept away by the waves, she could no longer see the shoreline...
Who! Who is doing evil? Wan'er's mind sharpened, and she suddenly opened her eyes. She saw that her whole body was faintly flashing with spiritual light. Around her feet, the water bubbles trembled violently, and one after another, white bones and blackened skulls emerged from the bottom of the water.
It quickly spread around her, layer by layer, rising up until it almost reached the back of her feet...
The yin energy attacked her skin, and her feet gradually became numb, making her unable to move for a while. If this continued, it seemed to envelop her.
What the hell?! Someone save me! Completely bewildered, Wan'er was terrified, her scalp tingling with fear...
"Distract yourself!" Uncle Mercury's voice echoed in Wan'er's ears on the sea breeze.
"It's better to rely on yourself than others! I understand now; I can only depend on myself." Wan'er nodded, closed her eyes, and mimicked the scenes she often saw on television. Letting the waves crash against her, she relaxed her entire body, took a deep breath, and slowly clasped her hands together in front of her chest, beginning to focus her mind…
Sure enough, a surge of air enveloped Wan'er's body, and her body gradually became hot, while the chill began to dissipate.
Soon, the wind died down, and the roar of the giant waves subsided. Gradually, Wan'er felt her feet find their footing steady, and the hard, protruding objects disappeared...
Once he could move his body and opened his eyes, the surrounding skeletons had miraculously disappeared.
It turns out that everything just now was nothing but an illusion; he was just a paper tiger.
Hmph! Bring it on, I, Ye Wan'er, am not afraid of you.
