The rain continued until dark, and a dim light came on in Song Lin's courtyard. It was a bit cold in early spring, and Aunt Zhang was very considerate and made a small hot pot.
Song Lin's uncle, Captain Song, walked in wearing a conical hat, holding a bottle of wine in one hand and a sword from the classroom in the other.
He saw a fair-skinned girl leaning against Song Lin's door, was slightly startled, and called out "A Lin" into the house.

Song Lin lowered his head to take the wine from Captain Song and replied, "I was just about to tell you."
"You have your own ideas now, uncle, don't worry about it." Captain Song did not show any anger. He chuckled and walked into the house, adding, "You have good taste. The girl is very pretty."
Song Lin smiled and followed him into the house.
The two of them set the table, Song Lin poured a bowl of wine for Captain Song, and sat at the table. He looked up and saw Chen Xu still standing by the door, so he called out, "Xiu Xiu, come in and eat."
Shen Xu nodded and sat obediently at the table.
Captain Song took a sip of wine and talked about the bandits attacking Song Lin.
"Ah Lin, the county has issued a bounty order. Those two escaped bandits might come looking for trouble with you again, so you'd better be careful. If you encounter something you can't handle, send someone to notify me."
As he spoke, he took out a stack of bounty warrants from his pocket and handed them to Song Lin.
"I was originally going to take people to post the notices everywhere, but it rained so hard today that I didn't go. You can take a look and keep an eye on it first."
"Yeah." Song Lin took the bounty order, didn't look at it immediately, and put it on the table.
He glanced at Shen Xu, who was busy eating, and ordered, "Xiu Xiu, pour some wine for your uncle."
Shen Xu put down his bowl, picked up the wine pot and poured a bowl of wine for Captain Song, then picked up his bowl and continued eating.
"She is a mute?" Captain Song frowned slightly.

Shen Xu held the bowl of rice, swallowed the food in his mouth, and called uncle.
Captain Song smiled with relief and nodded with satisfaction, "Not bad, not bad."

Song Lin smiled and said word by word deliberately: "Did you hear that? Okay, okay, serve me, Master."
Shen Xu's hand holding the rice bowl froze, and he glanced at Song Lin resentfully.
"Hey, kid, how can you talk to a girl like that? What if she gets scared away? Xiuxiu, don't take it to heart. Alin is just teasing you."
Shen Xu replied obediently: "Don't worry, uncle, I won't run away. I still owe him money."
Song Lin raised the corner of his mouth with an elegant arc, and warned in a deep voice: "If you dare to run, I will break your legs."
Upon hearing this, Captain Song patted the back of Song Lin's hand hastily and scolded him, "Ah Lin, you can't bully girls like this!"
Shen Xu buried his head in the rice in his bowl, thinking to himself that you'd better keep your word and don't sell me out again because you can't bear it.
She looked up pitifully, like a wronged young wife, and calmly added another bowl of rice to her bowl, saying submissively, "As long as Constable Song doesn't chase me away, doesn't despise me, and doesn't sell me off again, that's all that's needed."
"Oh, what has this poor child been through?"
Song Lin's originally raised lips tightened, and he stretched out his chopsticks to pick up a piece of meat from her bowl, and changed the subject: "Eat some meat, you look so skinny."
Shen Xu nodded and continued to eat.
Song Lin told Captain Song how he met her in the charity cemetery and how he bought her from Shen Shiyuan and his wife, avoiding the main points.
Captain Song didn't think much about it, he just said, "No wonder I felt this girl looked familiar, it turned out to be the body from the Ivory Mountain car crash case."
