Some people believe that the real enjoyment comes from having someone peel the meat for you before you eat it.
Some people, however, believe that peeling itself is a pleasure of "eating".
Lu Yibei's girlfriend belonged to the latter category, so when he wanted to help her, he was refused.
Lu Yibei had no choice but to go into the kitchen and wash the dishes that needed washing first.
Inside the kitchen, the boy was washing dishes.
Inside the restaurant, the girl continued to enjoy her meal.
As the boy washed the dishes, he glanced at the girl who was separated from him by only a glass door.
The latter followed his instructions, using the pointed end of his foot to poke the meat inside the shell, then, with shining eyes, dipped the meat into the sauce…
Lu Yibei lowered his head and chuckled softly.
Grandma happened to come in to get something and casually mentioned it:
"Your mother came back before."
Lu Yibei: "Mm."
"After the Mid-Autumn Festival, anyway, she'll never come home on a holiday," Grandma said, sounding like she was complaining.
Lu Yibei laughed and said, "She's busy."
Grandma didn't say much, just nodded: "That's true."
Then she went out again, smiling:
"Eat slowly and gently, don't rush."
Lu Yibei glanced at his girlfriend again, and she nodded obediently and vigorously.
His mother came back.
Lu Yibei thought to himself that he didn't communicate much with his mother, and they hadn't even exchanged many messages this semester.
But since he came back, he should know that he has a girlfriend.
She didn't ask anything, and she didn't even contact him.
Lu Yibei shook his head with amusement.
Not bad either.
For him and his mother, this way of getting along is always the most harmonious.
"...hiccup."
"If you can't eat, then don't—you can eat tomorrow!"
Lu Yibei quickly put down his bowl and went to scold his little girl who was burping behind him.
