Lu Yibei thought he was shaking his head to say he was fine, so he smiled and nodded.
"Do you know him?" Liu Jie asked, still unable to recall where he had seen Chen Wei before.
Lu Yibei nodded and reached into his pocket to take out his phone.
Chen Wei, however, found himself unconsciously focusing on the former.
Then I thought of that girl, as cold as a snow-capped mountain, who kept everyone at arm's length.
Lu Yibei was looking down as he replied to a message.
[Qingqian: I'm going back to my dorm to take a shower.]
[Qingqian: You need to come pick me up in forty minutes.]
[Qingqian: Don't come too early]
[Qingqian: And don't be late!]
Lu Yibei: Okay
He looked up again, and his gaze met Chen Wei's once more.
Lu Yibei had no choice but to hide his phone in his pocket and ask again:
"Is something the matter?"
Chen Wei shook his head again.
Lu Yibei thought for a moment, then gave a thumbs-up behind him: "Want me a cup of milk tea?"
Chen Wei was taken aback, then shook his head even more vigorously.
He finally spoke, tentatively saying:
“Um…Senior Lu…”
Lu Yibei sensed that he had something to say, and he glanced at his three eldest sons beside him:
"You guys go back to your dorm first, he has something to tell me."
Liu Jie gave an OK sign, then patted Lu Yibei on the shoulder and instructed him:
"Don't forget your girlfriend is treating you to dinner later. Don't be late to talk business, or you'll embarrass your old father!"
Before Lu Yibei could even speak, Chen Wei's heart skipped a beat.
"Understand."
After Lu Yibei agreed, he waved his hand again: "Get up."
After the other three senior students left, Chen Wei asked in a low voice:
"Is Senior Lu's girlfriend... Ji Qingqian from our class?"
Lu Yibei grinned, a rather bright smile, and patted Chen Wei's shoulder affectionately:
"Oh, you found out too? Look at the mess this has made... Yes, she's my girlfriend, hahaha..."
