Chapter 2 There is no Conch Girl in the World

“You’re not willing to go abroad because of that broken white moonlight girl, right? You’ve already broken up with her… You’ve only been in university for a year, it’s not too late if you want to go abroad,” Qingqian said.

Lu Yibei said, "Her influence only played a small part. Since I'm here, I might as well make the best of it. I've already studied in Jiangnan for a year, and it would be quite inconvenient to transfer schools again. Besides, I have a bunch of grown-up kids in my dorm who can't do without their old father."

Qingqian let out a long sigh: "Oh."

"Speaking of which, which school did you go to?" Lu Yibei asked.

Qingqian coldly replied, "Are we that close? Why are you asking for my address?"

Lu Yibei: "With your ability to keep secrets, I'd believe you even if you were discovered to be a virtual streamer one day."

Qingqian muttered, "I'll tell you in a few days."

"Huh? It can be a difference of just a few days?"

"Are you still going to farm or not, asking so many questions?"

"Start, start."

Lu Yibei clicked on a chicken icon; this was a farming game called Stardew Valley.

The background music for "Liver Pain Child" started playing again.

Even when connected via microphone, Qingqian didn't say much while playing games.

But at least I heard some more replies like "um" and "okay".

Her voice was clear and gentle.

Lu Yibei felt that the sense of communication had become much stronger.

Stardew Valley allows players to farm, mine, fish, raise animals, and even marry NPCs or other players in multiplayer mode.

Lu Yibei is currently engaged in fishing, which requires very precise mouse clicking.

He was working so hard he was practically burning out the left mouse button when his phone, which was lying next to him, suddenly vibrated.

A moment of distraction sent the air force into action.

"say!"

Lu Yibei cursed, "What bad luck today! I failed the qualifying match, and even fishing got me interfered with by outsiders."

He picked up his phone:

"Hello? Oh, leave it at the door."

He hung up the phone with a click, then said into the earpiece, "Takeout, wait a minute."

Qingqian: "Oh."

Lu Yibei went out and then went inside.

He returned to his computer desk with the KFC delivery and complained into his headset, "Let me tell you, if it weren't for this phone call, I would have definitely caught that octopus."

Qingqian: "Awesome."

Just as Lu Yibei was about to express his unfulfilled ambitions, he suddenly considered a serious problem.

"...I didn't order takeout, who ordered it?"

The address, phone number, and even the name Daniel Wu are indeed his, but he doesn't remember ordering takeout.

Qingqian: "Yes, who ordered it?"

Lu Yibei listed the suspects.

First place.

"Zhou Zhou?" It wasn't out of any lingering affection, it was simply a conditioned reflex from having just contacted him.

Qingqian: "Tsk."

“That’s not right.” Lu Yibei thought that if Zhou Zhou’s personality could be changed, it would have been changed long ago, and there would be no need for him to suddenly have a change of heart.

Qingqian: "Who else?"

Lu Yibei was also thinking: "Right, who else could it be?"

Qingqian said, enunciating each word clearly: "Then who else knows that you poor little wretch haven't eaten dinner!"

Lu Yibei thought for a moment: "I'm not sure, I can only say one possibility. Don't scold me if I'm wrong."

Qingqian: "Speak."

"Could it be that you, heroine, ordered this?"

Qingqian said indifferently, "You're really smart. You figured it out so quickly. I thought you were going to guess about the Conch Girl next."
