Chapter 104 We'll Fall in Love at Sunrise

Ji Qingqian turned her head slightly.

The light bathed their faces in a rosy glow, yet their joined hands tightened even more firmly.

I don't know if it's because the temperature suddenly rose after the sun came up.

Ji Qingqian felt that both her and Abei's palms were a little hot.

The sun is blood-red at sunrise.

As it rose higher, it gradually turned orange-yellow.

The warm sea breeze ruffled Ji Qingqian's ponytail.

Lu Yibei's voice blew along with the wind as he leaned close to Ji Qingqian's ear and whispered:

Would you like to hear me sing a song?

Before Ji Qingqian could answer, Lu Yibei changed his wording:

"No... I'd like to ask you to sing me a song, is that alright?"

"good."

Ji Qingqian immediately agreed; she didn't need to ask what song it was.

Lu Yibei led her out of the sea, across the beach, and to the car by the roadside.

He took Hao Pangzi's precious guitar out of the trunk of the car.

"It just so happens that your roommate left his guitar in the car."

Ji Qingqian sat on the high railing, kicking her heels together, shaking out many grains of sand.

"Mm," Lu Yibei said with a smile.

The guitar was borrowed by him.

However, when the female warrior found him before he set off, he said that the fat man had accidentally left the car when he went to get it with him.

"I didn't expect you could play the guitar," Ji Qingqian said again.

“My dad taught me in Hawaii.”

Lu Yibei spoke casually, adjusting his tone to produce two clear, ringing sounds.

Ji Qing smiled faintly: "Play well and sing well, and you'll be richly rewarded if you sing well."

Lu Yibei did not reply; he continued the sound test.

Ji Qingqian faced the sea, leaning against the railing, his fingers flying across the guitar.

The first few notes were familiar, and Ji Qingqian could immediately recognize that it was the prelude to "Sunny Day".

Just when she thought Lu Yibei was about to sing "The Little Yellow Flower in the Story," he paused.

She then began playing another piece of music she had never heard before.

The melody is quite soothing, perfectly matching the calm sea, gentle breeze, and soft sand.

So youthful. Ji Qingqian thought to herself,

I'll ask Ah Bei what song it is later.

So, Lu Yibei slowly began to sing along to the soothing melody:

"...On this day, when I turn twenty, I write my first poem."

"...as the autumn leaves fall in September, drifting into the coastline of your dreams."

"...The poem's plot is about encountering longing and lingering affection in summer."

"...Your profile has entered my world."

"...With you by my side, the ends of the earth are never far away."

"Though the wind blows and the birds fly far away, my longing for you remains unchanged."

"I made a wish upon the sky and a shooting star, hoping the monsoon would blow across the northern coastline."

"When the psalms are recited, your beloved will appear as expected."

"With your smile, and my echoing longing..."

“Repeated many times, for many years.”

"You will hear it, right before your eyes..."

A guitar rang out.

The song was clearly not finished, but its sound abruptly stopped.

Ji Qingqian, who was gazing at the waves crashing on the sea, wanted to ask Lu Yibei what was wrong.

She turned her head and saw the boy looking at her with a faint smile.

The sunlight shone on his cheeks, making his eyelashes turn golden, fluttering and shimmering with a halo.

Lu Yibei's gentle expression left Ji Qingqian speechless for a moment.

The boy chuckled gently and said to her:

"Ji Qingqian, look at me one more time, and please fall in love with me."

Ji Qingqian: ...

"...Okay?"
